durable, reliable and well designed but only you can determine if it's a good value.
Probably one of the most thought out and overdesigned rain covers for a camera ever devised. However, it manages to have no faults, from what I can perceive while using it. It even manages to fold into itself for compactness, giving it more reason to live in your bag at all times. Medium is sized just right to fit a mirrorless camera, like my Fujifilm X-T2, combined with the 16-55mm ƒ/2.8 lens. It's a little short when used with my 50-140mm ƒ/2.8 lens. Both lenses and camera body are weather resistant but the cover serves to ensure everything stays dry when the rain is really pissing down, as it does here in Seattle. The cover has a small lip, in case you aren't using your lens hood. Secured by an internal bungee, it works with anything up to 82mm in diameter, it seems, maybe even larger. The rear also has a bungee to secure around the camera body when not in use.All in all, it works and is made from durable materials. May not be worth the price to you, but it's better than buying plastic bags repeatedly.

Super useful and does what it's supposed to. Still room for improvement!
I own a Sony A7iii and this medium size bag is the perfect fit for both my 24-70 mm lens and 24 mm Canon Rokinon with Sigma lens adaptor. I recently took it on a hike through the super snowy wet mountain hike and it repelled water and protected my camera like nobody's business! I used it in tandem with the Peak Design v3 clip to mount it to my backpack, so my camera would have otherwise been exposed to the elements the entire time.My only complain is that it is rather difficult to use inside the cover, so I was constantly removing it and putting it back on. As a result, it caught my eye piece and I lost it during the hike. The eye piece is super replaceable so I didn't mind losing it to protect my camera from all the moisture! And because the bag is so flexible it's easy enough to roll up and stash in my pocket when I'm in an area where I'm taking lots of photos.Really great product! I think and improvement would be for the bag easily flex up to reveal the camera body so there isn't a need to fully remove the bag to get full use of my camera.

PD quality and convenience
The quality of Peak Design is beyond reproach. I have all three sizes for different cameras and configurations. Always trying to protect my equipment with not being to cumbersome. I have other cases for storing and carrying my camera gear but when out and about shooting this shell works great.

Very tight fit
Good quality material, build and does the job to protect camera from rain. However a little too tight for Panasonic LUMIX S5II camera with Sigma 24-70mm F2.8 DG DN Art lens so I need to remove it when using camera. Due to right fit takes awhile to put on and also remove.

A must have!
This is great. I’ve used it many times at my kids’ soccer games this past spring. And we just took a trip to Oregon and had it on my camera for two days straight as we went on many hikes and the rain was off and on for the whole time. It makes it so I can use my camera in the rain and not miss any of those moments because I didn’t want my camera to get wet.The material is very nice. Thick and very durable. I can tell this will last me a long time. Very glad I have this!!

Love other Peak Design products, but not this cover.
To anybody considering this, be aware that you can not operate your camera with the slip fully protecting it. You have to flip the back up exposing the camera body, take your shot, and then flip the back back down. This experience wasn't abundantly clear when I purchased this product. Maybe I didn't do enough research, so I'll take some of the blame. However, the marketing and images make it seem like the camera body will have quite a bit of protection when shooting, but I found it nearly impossible to operate the camera without completely exposing the body. Even after I accepted that I had to expose my body, the process of loosening the cinch cord, flipping the back up, and trying to use the camera controls with the case on is pretty cumbersome. On a recent trip, I tried for several rainy days to use the case with a Sony A7III and I just couldn't get it down smoothly. The camera is "weather sealed", but known to have imperfect sealing around the hot shoe and battery door, which are both exposed when using this case. Eventually I just covered the weak spots with gaffers tape, tucked the camera under my waterproof jacket when not in use, and exposed the entire camera for short periods to take shots. That worked a lot better for me.I own many other Peak Design products and have been insanely happy with them. The Slide Lite and Cuff are magical products to use, and finally ended my search for the perfect strap system. Seriously, you should go buy those products if you don't own them. But this $50 case was an expensive dud that will likely sit at home.

Great Camera Shell
This camera shell is a great way for me to protect my DSLR from random bonks and dings, and provides weather protection as well. It is lightweight and compressible. It can be used with or without other Peak Design gear. Highly recommended.

High quality product, if a little fiddly
Very well made and excellent materials. Keep in mind though that it is definitely best used with the peak design capture clip or another bottom-mount accessory. It does have pass throughs for a strap or PD anchors, but they are tricky to set up. The medium was a tiny bit large for my Nikon Z6ii w/ the 24-70 F4, but it gives me room for a larger lens. Definitely keeps the rain off, but you do need to pull it up to access the viewfinder/camera controls which then exposes them to rain. Worked well for me though!
