Perhaps this product is good for other things
Snake Oil in a BucketBefore ordering Denny Rossi's Seal It Green product, I spoke with him personally and another lady in his office-whom I believe was either his daughter or wife-and was assured by both people that, according to application that I had for his products, the Tree Carver product would work "perfectly". After having explained my application repeatedly to Denny and this lady, based on their representation of their product, and their assurance that it would work without any problem, I purchased the $400, 5 gallon bucket of Tree Carver.It did not work at all as they represented. They told me that after applying coats to both sides of my freshly cut wood slabs, the product would remove the moisture from the slabs in 4-6 weeks time. This did not happen at all. After 6 weeks I let Denny know that it didn't work and asked for a refund. He asked me to give it a bit longer to see if maybe it needed more time to dry, which I complied with. He's managed to kick the ball down the road now for more than 5 months without issuing a refund. After speaking on the phone with him this morning, he seems to have backed off of his claim that the product removes moisture from the wood and instead only maintained that it "seals" the wood.The way that he and his family member represented his product was not factual. It's hard to come to any other conclusion than that he lied about the performance of his product since it seems more likely than not that he knew or should have known at the time of the sale that this product would not remove the moisture from the wood as he repeatedly assured me it would.Perhaps this product is good for other things; however it is certainly not good for removing moisture from green slabs of wood. I relied wholly on Denny's word in undertaking this project, foregoing kiln drying the wood for my customers. If he's willing to lie about his product's ability to remove moisture, what else could he be lying about? I was always told growing up that a man who is willing to lie about one thing in order to profit in some way is willing to lie about anything. Denny seems to encapsulate this trait perfectly.I do not recommend this product at all.
