I used to do a lot of photograpy, portraits and weddings, then my life got busy and the camera sat in the cupboard for a few years. I have bought about a dozen books on cameras and photography and I was looking for one to take me back through the basics. This is a treasure. It does adress the functions of a modern camera in athe best way that I have found, using pictures of the cameras and their controls, in simple, uncomplicated effective language. My absence from photography was caused by having one job through the week and giving workshops and training at weekends, and this guy is a first class communator. He does not just inform, he makes you thnk, and gives you the tools to be creative.

Such a useful book for the novice, all you need to get started, good supplier and a speedy delivery

I looked at so many books and reviews and decided on this one. I'm so glad I did it has easy instructions, examples , photos and pointers and tips for everything you need to do photography, explains every button on the camera and it's meaning. I have completed a 6 week beginners course in photography this book helped me along the way. Highly recommend

I have recently taken up photography and found this book extremely useful. It is well illustrated and has easy to read instruction, unlike some which are too technical for amateurs like me !!. I had some knowledge of my camera ( Canon 4000D ), but was still able to pick up details that I did not know. I really recommend this book to anyone that is at the starting stage of photography. Also very quick and well packaged delivery.

Bought for someone else

This is a great introductory book. Easy to read, interesting with plenty of photographs and step by step advice. Would really recommend to this to anyone getting started or just with a general interest. It will also serve me as a useful reference manual as I get started with this hobby. I will definitely be referring to it regularly over the next few months.

Libro que trata una amplia gama de aspectos del mundo de la fotografía pero sin la profundidad y descripción técnica que yo esperaba a la hora de tomar fotografías. Quizá mis expectativas eran altas y orientadas erróneamente hacia la obtención de un manual o descripción general de una cámara fotográfica y como configurar o hacer uso de esta en las distintas condiciones lumínicas.
