The smallrig cage for the Sony zv1 is absolutely the best. It provides a much better grip for the camera and allows for endless possibilities to customizing your camera. There are so many mounts and slots to add mics, lights, monitors, tripods, etc. you can also access the sd card and battery with the cage on still and even while mounted to a tripod. The cage is extremely sturdy and will not loosen off of the camera on its own. Would 100% recommend this cage!

I’ve used other rigs for this camera, and for others. This one is the best I’ve used to far. It’s easy to put on, not over bulky, has a strong construction, and is designed well so you can still flip and twist the screen as normal. It also has a good grip on the side to make it a little easier to hold on too. It’s also not overly expensive. I was worried bc the price was so low, but it’s a great value. I got this for my camera so I can mount it horizontal and vertically on a grip pole, and this is perfect for that. If you have this camera, and do any kind of vlogging, you need this.

This is a great addition to my ZV1 camera! Plenty of attachment points too. This is my main camera for my YT channel so it gets used alot while offering protection.

Smallrig is one of many companies I buy accessories from...they have very well built camera cages and rigs and very decent prices. Always a pleasure to find an accessories for any of my 6 cameras...definitely recommend this if you need one..

Received the item this morning and find that one of the female internal thread is damaged and it is difficult to screw the male threat in. The Amazon return policy stated that the return of failed unit and having the new unit will be about 30 days. I cannot wait for that long to have a new item as my trip will be on a week later. The factory shall put more effort on the QC for a such simple structured item. Besides from this issue, the product is interesting and useful. (Update: the problem is fixed by supplier) Yes, this unit fits on ZV-1F

It's a seemingly pretty simple design, but super versatile. I keep finding new ways to use it. My only real complaint would be that it's a little fiddly to get the battery door open, to change the battery or SD Card. If they made the opening slightly larger, and possibly a bit shallower in that area, it would be easier to work with. But it might also save a door getting broken off as it is... so maybe it's a tradeoff. I won't use my camera without it, so it's worth the slight inconvenience, to me. But might not be for everyone, for that reason.

It fit the ZV-! perfectly, allows access to all doors and ports. makes the camera feel a bit more robust and has a bunch of threaded attachment points for mics, lights, flash, attaching to magic arms, tripods etc. For the price an excellent addition. Well worth it.
