Disappointing Purchase
Searched several products and went with my past purchases of a Eureka product I have once owned. This was by far the worse purchase I have ever made. Reading some of the reviews helped me buy it, but someone lied. The brushes on it stop moving when you place it onto the furniture or carpet so it fails to help pull up pet hair and debris. Also the cup receptacle isn't made correctly to hold the debris (if it ever collects any). Nothing goes into it, only sticking to the material and you have to scrape it off with your fingers or a brush. Very nasty to clean. Ended up throwing it away after trying a couple of times to figure other ways it might work. Very disappointing product. I used to think highly of the Eureka name, but not any more. The only reason I gave it a star at all was for it's sucking power. But what good it that if the brushes don't move to pull up fur or flecks of debris into a cup that doesn't catch anything.

The BEST handheld vacuum ever
Powerful and competent, this is easily the best hand held vacuum i have ever used.Yeah it's a bit heavy, but that just means it is strong & sturdy.Yeah it has a cord, but it is long and you get much better performance than the cordless chargeable variety. At under $50, this seems to be an essential household item. So, if your criteria is NOT cheap plastic cordless machines, then this purchase is a no-brainer. It doesn't need many bells and whistles, but it does have a variable brush cover for both horizontal and vertical vacuuming, which is a pretty important function. It also has a few attachments like a brush and a tapered crevice tip, but no more than what you actually need.Did I mention how powerful it is?To be blunt - if you are old and/or feeble you will probably not be able to handle this vacuum. Anyone else will find this to be the strongest handheld vacuum on the market, thus the most useful one.

Great power & suction, nice long cord, but rotating brush is useless.
great suction power & filtration. Bought as a replacement for my Shark EuroPro Diamond that finally died after 14+ years of frequent use. Tried to repair it, but as filters are no longer available for it either, ended up looking for a new, corded replacement. Couldn't go w/cordless - I need something with lots of power that can run longer than 10 min., as I use this to clean my large sectional, a.k.a. the dog's favorite bed. I have a constantly shedding, large black Lab and a white canvas sectional sofa, and the carpet in our home is light colored (came with the house). We only have carpet in a few areas, so I mostly sweep & dust mop daily, My regular vac is a central vac, and it's a major pain to haul it out & hook everything up just to do the sofa & stairs, or her favorite spots to lay in the bedroom at night. Even with slip covers, I still need to vacuum the dog hair off the sofa daily, and a cordless machine just doesn't run long enough, or have the strength for that or do clean the stairs. This is the only reasonably priced, hand-held corded machine I could find. It works just as well as my old machine, but, I wish the design was different. The rotating brush is useless. It rotates fine, until you try to use it on anything - the slightest bit of pressure or resistance from fabric or carpet - flat weave, no pile - makes it stop rotating. It also makes the machine feel awkward and heavy, as it weighs down the front end. Would be nice if it could be removed, or even better, if they made a version without it. The dust cup is easy to empty, and the filter is fairly easy to clean. I tap hold mine down inside the trash can and tap it the side with whatever is handy - handle from a dish brush, a pencil, etc. to get off most of the dust & debris, then use a soft tooth brush to remove the dog hair & lint. I bought extra filters, so that I can wash & rinse the filter with mild soap and let it dry when there's a lot of dust, pollen season, or when cleaning up after other things, like spilled flour or sugar in the kitchen, dried mud & dirt from outdoors or in the cars, etc., so there's always a clean one in the machine. If the filter material seems to look a bit ragged, or pilled up with lint like an old sweater, I gently go over it with a sweater shaver or a disposable razor, and it's good as new. Overall, it's a nice little machine, does the job well, and at a great price. But, I just wish the rotating brush was removable or, at least, worked well enough to be useful. If that brush worked well, i'd give it 4 stars. If it was removable, to make the machine lighter & less awkward to use, I'd give it 5 stars.

Just BUY IT and you'll agree .........
Eureka ... I've found it .. and am impressedThis little red Eureka puts my big Bissell upright to same, with about 4 times the suction; I'll bet, if you put a seal around the intake, you could stick it to a wall.Eureka was just bought by Midea, headquartered in Southern China, and I think this is one of the first releases to impress the market. This little sucker runs a bit hot, but works very well.Suggestion : The edge attachment stores in the exhaust, but I suggest removing it for better airflow.

It'll suck it!
This is a surprisingly powerful little vacuum. I've been impressed how strong the suction. I bought it to do my stairs and car. It's great on both. I've expanded to window sills and other areas. It's a might little machine.

Powerhouse
I'm so over the batteries dying on our cordless vacuum cleaners and the batteries costing more than the machines. So instead of purchasing yet another cordless vacuum, I switched to this little corded machineIt is a powerhouse! It easily cleans up after 4 dogs and does hardwood, carpet and furniture equally well.
