Hardman 4001 Double Bubble Epoxy has been a staple for me for getting about 40 years! I always like to have a packet or two of it handy. It’s so easy to use and effective on such a wide variety of materials. It hardens fast. It fills gaps. It dries mostly clear (maybe a slight yellow tinge). And it’s got a long shelf life.I like to package a couple of Double Bubbles and their mixing sticks with a 6” square of kitchen waxed paper, an alcohol swab, and a few toothpicks. The waxes paper is the perfect surface to mix the epoxy on. The alcohol swab can easily remove any epoxy before it sets, and the toothpicks are perfect to apply small amounts to small parts. This makes a great kit to add to any toolbox.I’m such a fan of this stuff that I actually keep a packet (double packet) in my shaving kit for travel. It’s come in handy several times.The quantity per-packet is sufficient for most small projects and you can always mix two or three packs for larger needs. It’s difficult to mix more than three packets throughly and get it all applied properly in less than the three or five minutes you’ve got. If you have a bigger project, switch to a thirty-minute or longer epoxy.To use it, lay the double-bubble packet flat on a flat surface and use the straight edge of the mixing stick to push the content of both sides all the way to one end of the packet. Fold the packet in half down the middle. Use a knife or scissors to cut the opposite end off the packets. Use a bit of alcohol to clean your knife/scissors. Use the straight edge of the mixing stick to push the entire content of both sizes of the packet out onto a piece of paper or other mixing surface. Both components will be clear. Use the stick to quickly mix incorporating all of both components. The mixture will be milk white. Quickly apply it to your project using the mixing stick and/or a toothpick. When the epoxy left on your mixing surface is clear and hard, your project is also hard.At room temperature, it does harden in about five minutes. As all quick-setting epoxies are, it is exothermic meaning it releases heat as it cures and it will get palpably warm. It’s not as bad as some I’ve used. It’s not enough to deform most materials. The more you use, the hotter it gets. One Double-Bubble packet’s worth doesn’t get overly hot.What more can be — or need be — said? Hardman Double-Bubble Red Epoxy is one of my favorites and I’m sure you’ll grow to love it too.

I've used this since being introduced to it in the military. It's hands-down the best repair glue you can find. Yeah, it's $2 a single-serve package but you don't need more than you need when you need it. That makes it a great value to me not to waste a full tube of product for a simple repair. The packets sit ready in the drawer for when I need them and last for years in a tempered environment.Motorcycle plastics, side view mirrors, laptop hinge or DC jack keeps, toilet seats, sun glasses, just about anything that needs a simple fix with some powerful glue, consider it repaired. It's saved me hundreds of dollars from replacing parts because it fixed them instead. This stuff means business.You have a limited time-frame to use it (3-5 minutes) so prepare in advance and have everything ready to be bonded. And this stuff does take a bit longer to set than I'd like (6-7 minutes) but if you hold the objects in place for a few minutes while it cures, it's set for life. Don't let go too soon; make sure it doesn't move so you don't lose your set. Let it cure overnight and that stuff is rock solid.Whoever the chisel-head was who gave this stuff a 2 star rating probably didn't like the taste or something - don't mind him; Elmer's glue is the preferred taste I'm told.You can trust this stuff to do what it says it will do and it's worth every dollar.

This is the strongest adhesive that I have ever used. I first used this when I was in the Navy, and have loved it every since! I have yet to come across an adhesive that bonds so many different materials together so quickly. I don't know if too many that will bond metal to concrete, and peel up the concrete when you break it off. These are perfect to have around the house, especially since they come in small individual packages, very rarely have I had to use more than one of these to get the job done. I have glues several things with this stuff, and it has been holding for 7-8 years now, and shows no signs of giving way yet.

This stuff is simple and clean to mix and holds very well. Only 4 stars because it's pretty pricey but so is throwing out partial tubes of the other stuff.

This epoxy has unique advantages:--- When clamps are not practical it allows you to hold a piece in place on a vertical or overhead surface while the epoxy sets. I've done this several times now. Unlike some others, it really does set in just a few minutes. The double blister pack yields about the right amount of glue for most jobs. Just fold the two blisters together, squeeze all the glue and hardener to one end and cut off the other end.... Squeeze the two parts out on a disposable surface and mix THOROUGHLY.... No guesswork as to amounts..... Apply to one or both sides. From what I can tell, the bond is very strong. Since I've acquired this epoxy, I find myself choosing it over other types I have, because of the convenience and performance.Double Bubble also offers a slow setting epoxy and other types too.... all in double blister packs. Just do an Amazon search for Double Bubble Epoxy. The box comes with enough popsicle sticks for mixing all the Double Bubbles.
