What are you waiting for!?!
Pull the trigger! IF you've been debating or putting off buying these over the calf socks, stop hesitating and do it. It's one of the best decisions I've made! As for a work sock they are above most other wool brands at keeping my feet dry and comfortable through 10 hour shifts. Now this is the important part, other socks would cut into and leave imprints, most times a compression ring around my legs and calfs, often painful, loosing circulation to my feet, not with these socks, my circulation has improved, no more dig in spots, and even with the sock going as high as they do I don't notice them! I thought it would be irritating wearing something this high, nope! My only issue is that they come in 2 pairs, if they would make a 5 pair or 7 pair pack I would buy them. Very relieved and happy with my purchase. Wish I would have bought them sooner.

Great socks!
Fit is great! Have tried 4 other socks that were more exepens and none were comfortable, make my foot slide in my boot and are way too tight at the top. These socks fit perfect and after the first day I noticed a decrease in my leg fatigue. The fit is perfect (I got XL and wear 13.5). 10/10, recommended!

Well-made but not tight enough fit for me.
These were well built socks, but I was looking for socks that fit tighter on my legs. These socks seem to bunch up around the bottom of my feet which make it uncomfortable using them all day long. They are well-made, but just not what I needed.

These compression stockings are the best quality anywhere! They have reenforced heel and toe and are comfortable all day long.

An absolute must for shift work.
Ever since we started walking on two feet, we've suffered for it. Back pain, stiff hips, aching feet... the list goes on. These socks might not help with the back and hip pain, but they sure do wonders for feet. The way human circulation works is, blood returning to the heart from the lower legs relies on muscular contraction. To prevent gravity from letting blood pool in our feet, we've got these little valves in our veins. Over time, these valves weaken. Some fail completely. What you're left with are swollen ankles, varicose veins, and feet that ache because they don't have much of a way to remove metabolites such as lactic acid. Shift work, where you're standing on your feet all day long, day after day, for years on end, is brutal for speeding up this process. So too are jobs that require sitting all day (no contractions, no circulation). Sounds like a no-win situation, doesn't it?That's where compression socks come in. By applying gentle continuous pressure all around the lower leg, they help to prevent giving your veins a way of collapsing. The result is that blood flows more freely and those little veinous valves mentioned earlier can function more efficiently. It sounds counterproductive that a garment which squeezes a limb can improve blood flow, but that's exactly what happens here.If you're a consumer of the average American diet, chances are you're gulping down way too much sodium, too. That means water retention, which gravity sends right down to your feet and ankles. These socks will help prevent that from happening, too. Pretty sweet deal, right? They may not make your job less demanding, but they'll sure do wonders for keeping your dogs from barking at the end of the day. That they're so comfortable and breathable helps a ton, too: these aren't hot socks to wear. That's a big deal if your shift work involves working outside in the hot summer sun.Now understand, these aren't meant to be a substitute for compression socks your doctor prescribes. Your doctor has weighed your condition and has decided on a certain amount of compression--and if that's describing you, most certainly you should continue to follow his/her orders. All that training wasn't for nothing. If you find your prescription socks to be uncomfortable, by all means mention these socks to your doctor, but please respect his/her decision if you're told these aren't for you.But if you're noticing slightly swollen ankles and aching feet by the end of the day WITHOUT having a diagnosed underlying problem, these may be your ticket for a better life. They might even prevent allowing this condition to become a medical concern later on. There's no downside to at least trying them.As with all compression socks, your first wearing might be "snug." Until the fluid in your legs redistributes, this is expected. Afterwards, however, you'll rarely want to be without them. Give it a few days and see if you don't agree. These are machine-washable, and in most respects can be treated just like regular colored laundry. Over time they're bound to lose some of their support (all things wear out, including you), but when that happens these socks are sensibly priced for all the benefits they offer.Highly recommended!

Decent
Bought a pack of these for a trip with 20 hour travel days. They worked well as compression socks, but I had to throw each pair away after one use. The sweaty sock smell wouldn't wash out (in a load that successfully cleaned my other clothes) and they made my luggage smell by keeping them. Maybe there were special wash instructions I missed, but I'm not interested in anything other than just tossing in the washing machine for such a cheap pair of socks.

Seriously Good USA made Socks!
I bought these excellent Dickies light compression XL 12-15 size socks before on Amazon, and will continue to buy them as long as they are available, especially at such a reasonable price for a USA made quality product. The construction of them are top notch. They feel and look great, and are very durable besides. The reason I bought them was to help with swollen lower legs and feet due to venous insufficiency and afib. They are sized well for my size 13 wide feet, and very swollen calves. When my legs are not swollen, they fit like regular socks, and feel even better; even more cushiony!Getting them on and off can be a bit of a job, like any compression sock, but I can do it with my limited ability, when I make sure the foot is rolled up partly to start, and easier to position that way. Once you have the foot started well, they just pull right up pretty easily.Do they do the job for me? Not quite, since they are light compression socks and I seem to need more to move the fluid buildup. I am ordering some lower leg compression wraps with velcro (syhood and Hiball brands) to help me get even more compression so they are more effective for me. That way I can easily adjust the compression I need to work best. Though you may not need additional compression yourself. These are an excellent starting point, as long as you are able to put on your own socks, given that they fight back a bit more to put them on. As I said, with the right technique, they are doable for me and I love how they feel and look. Better health to you all!
