Energy and Water efficient and cheap to maintain
I bought this unit for a home of 5 people that like to take frequent showers. I went with the dual tank because our area has high water costs and often imposes mandatory water rationing. The major benefit to the dual tank is it only recharges when it needs to. That means less water and electricity wasted. With a single tank you have to schedule a recharge time and this may be before you actually need to recharge it or after its been pumping hard water into your house. The other benefit to a dual tank is you never have hard water going into your house because it will switch over to a fresh tank immediately. I chose the Fleck brand because its a well known brand that is reliable and the parts for Fleck water softeners are well priced and found everywhere. Many of the softeners offered by “water softener companies” will have very specific and proprietary parts that are expensive to replace and hard to find. With a Fleck system you don't have to worry about that you can find all the replacement parts easily online and even here on Amazon. Install for this unit was very straightforward I do wish they offered left handed models where the inlet/outlet yoke was on the left hand side to reduce the length of pipe run needed for some applications. I also wish they offered yokes that accepted 3/4” or 1” pex since pex is used for all the houses now and is really easy to work with. The installation/user manual was decent enough and explained all of the programming parameters. I purchased my unit from AFWFilters and they included their own installation manual which helped a lot. If you are doing the install yourself I would recommend purchasing another yoke of the size that you need because the threads are made out of plastic and very easily cross threaded or stripped. Pros of this unit -Fleck brand is reliable -Fleck parts are easy to find and cheap to purchase -Unit is well made -Well priced for the performance you get -low operational cost Cons this unit -threaded yoke is easy to strip -no pex yoke -programming it may be tricky for some folks and may require looking up on youtube. -no left handed hookup configuration Pros of dual tank -water/energy efficient -no need to schedule recharges or set a vacation mode -no interruption of soft water -lower operation costs Cons of dual tank -takes up more space -higher initial cost

100% Excellent product and customer service!
We have extreme hard water and called a local company they wanted to charge us $5,000 for the same setup so. I decided to do it myself. Now let me mention I'm not a plumber I'm a truck driver but when I can I like to do it myself if I can save myself some money. Installation wasn't hard pretty basic and I called the company twice with questions one was to check they're hours. The other was couldn't get clip lined up but ended up getting it while I was on the phone with them. They answered both times the one lady was nice enough to give me her cell phone number in case I had questions while they were closed on Saturday because she said she wanted to make sure that I got water for the weekend. I really greatly appreciate that! The system works great and cost fraction of what a local company wanted to charge me. I just need to fine tune it I will show test results in the pictures of before installing the system and after installing the system. After installing the water's a little too soft in my opinion by the color of the test strip. Today I'm going to fine tune it possibly turn it down a little. Will add the final test results picture afterwards.I am 100% satisfied with this company and this product! Save yourself some money it's not that hard. Customer service is there to help and there's even a YouTube video you can get YouTube certified and do it yourself!

Very high quality system.
Very easy set up and install. My wife assembled and I installed within a couple hours. The system exceeds our expectations on efficiency and quality of our water. Aplus LLC was very professional and friendly when I had to contact them to receive the water test kit that was forgotten in the order. They actually gave me 2 extra test kits.

Good quality and works as expected but instructions are not clear
The softener is a 4.5, but the instructions barely reach 3 even if you know some plumbing. This is my second Fleck softener installation, with about a 10 year time difference. I had never installed any water softener before the first one, which was not hard and why I chose to install the second unit at another site. I know that the previous instructions were nowhere nearly so difficult to find or understand. It took me longer to find something close to instructions than it did to install the softener. There are no step-by-step instructions that I ever found either with the unit or online. However, the technical service was very good and proactive when I had an issue. I also installed a whole-house filter and split off the drinking water from the soft water, so this wasn't a basic installation. It went slowly but reasonably well. PEX was also new to me, but it was much easier to use than soldering solid copper lines. Be sure to use a good quality plumbers lubricant on the o-rings before assembling the unit so that there is no chance for leaks. Although I prefer a softener that doesn't need electricity, this is the best standard softener that I've found at a reasonable price, although it's still 2-3 times the price of a so-called "good" water softener at a home improvement store. If you are handy, it's worth it to install a Fleck softener that is reliable and works well.

Happy we got it.
I ordered this water softener back in January 2023. The instructions are put together as if you received it completely unassembled. It was not, Aplus Water had already put the resin beads in the tanks and the control head was assembled. It came in 3 boxes, 2 of the boxes was the tanks. The 3rd box was the brine tank and the control head. When I finally got time to install it I looked through the instructions then followed a instructional video I found online and found out there was a small parts kit missing. I contacted Aplus Water through Amazon on a Saturday. Their reply was fast, within an hour. They called me that Monday morning when they got in the office and they sent the parts kit out that day, I had it that Wednesday and finished installing Thursday. Customer support from Aplu Water is outstanding. To program the control head I followed the instructions of an online video. Our Water is soft, but not to the point where you feel like you're covered in slime or soap and we don't get that dry rubber sound and feeling after rinsing the soap of.
