Makes Learning Math FUN!
My four year old daughter LOVES the whole series of MUNCHKIN MATH! As does my babysitter's two older girls (6 & 9) when they come over. Recently I've added a Munchkin Math DVD to birthday gifts, every mom has commented how much their child loves this series as well! This company has put a lot of thought into making the language of Math very FUN! Can't wait for more DVD's from this company!

Disappointing
The information used to explain the counting of money in this DVD presupposes knowledge of counting by fives and tens, yet presents the information in a manner more fitting for a one or two- year-old. It's like they couldn't quite decide who their target audience ought to be. I also found the tuneless "singing" and condescending tone of the narrator grating. My four-year-old grandson watched it once and only once as opposed to the Rusty and Rosy math DVDs which he'd happily watch all day long if allowed. Later: My grandson didn decide to watch this DVD again later and I thought about upgrading the number of stars, but on a second watching I caught a few more things I don't like about this DVD. Specifically it assumes that pay for chores is part of a child's world; the little girl is called, "silly" and the boy is praised for being "smart". Additionally half dollars are not mentioned.

Not impressed
I was really hoping this would be a good introductory video to learning about money. I think it is way too advanced for younger kids (ie, 6 and younger). I bought it based on the other reviews and the applicable ages 3-9. Since I bought it for younger kids, I am disappointed. It did not hold their attention and parts of the video were way over their heads.

Informative
This dvd would really teach a child how to count money IF you could get your child to watch it. Mine watched it 2 times and refuses to watch it again. I am hoping to get her to watch it again later on, maybe she just wasn't quite ready yet. I watched it with her, and I do think it was well made to teach children.

It was sweet but the rhymes don't rhyme
This video was made by someone who had a small budget. It was sweet but the rhymes don't rhyme. All in all it's not too bad. It is helpful though.

good idea
I had a hard time getting my kids to watch this for some unknown reason. Great idea. I think very good for kids. Maybe mine weren't ready for it at the time I bought it. Now, they will watch it and do find it helpful in learning to remember the value of coins. Definitely good for kids.

Great
Great teaching item. This DVD keeps its simple on a pretty complicated subject. It keeps my 3and 1 1/2 yr olds attention. I watch thus type of teaching video over mainstream tv any day. Thanks munchkin math.

Five Stars
These look goofy from an adult's perspective but they teach well and my daughter loves them.
