Is this really stainless steel, where is it made, what is the warranty? Is it a real GOOD can opener?

There probably was a warranty, but I have since tossed the box etc out. Yes, stainless in the front, durable plastic in the back. Made in China. I think it is a very good value. Easy to use, quiet, looks nice on the counter.

Does the lid fit properly back on after you've removed it?

If you want to be able to reuse the lid, you're looking for a side-cutting can opener - you asked back in 2021, and now it's 2023. I hope you found one!! LOL
