My grandson is in 1st grade and is learning a lot about the earth. He was asking a lot of questions so his "Paw Paw" wanted to get a globe so he and our grandson could have some bonding time and discuss these questions. This globe is so amazing!! They have discussed so much, topics such as landmarks, animals, geology, capitals, languages, flags, currency, countries, size of countries, continents and SO MUCH MORE. The globe itself is very good quality and what is even more cool is the fact that you can use batteries to turn it into an LED luminous globe, which to any 1st grader is "out of this world". The countries and continents are divided by colors and everything is labeled, including rivers, mountains, lakes, seas, and oceans. We are very happy with this purchase and so happy we spent the extra money on this globe!

Just what I was looking for as a gift for my grandson. Great value and it's educational!

The first one didn’t work & I returned for a replacement. The second arrived with not battery compartment cover. Save yourself the hassle & find another globe.
