I searched for the model number of the battery my mobility scooter suggested and bought two. I’ve used them in my little mobility scooter for three months, they’re dead now. When I came back to write this review I noticed a note that said something about no scooters. Well, that’s weird. I guess my mistake? What are these for then? But why do two different batteries have the same model number?? I bought a new scooter cause the other did have issues. It got 4-5 months on a set. It seems that with daily use these batteries won’t last long, seems the fault of using a small battery, not the battery itself. After much research, the key is to get a larger battery that requires less charging since there’s a limited number of cycles in a battery.

I have probably purchased well over a dozen of these 12AH batteries from this vendor (Portable Power) over the last couple of years. I use them in an industrial application, as back up power on small radios in outdoor enclosures. They are on float charge all the time. Because I have them in areas where they are exposed to significant temp changes 24/7, I change them annually. I use smaller PowerSonic batteries for other applications and have been very satisfied. Very few failures, and those are usually attributed to questionable charging conditions or just letting the batteries get too old. Good Product / Good Vendor.

Got the UPS for free from a friend, ordered these batteries and have a working unit looking after backup power for my sump pump. Curious to see if I will get 3 years out of the batteries. But enjoying peace of mind after running a test on the UPS.
