Big, sharp quality knife
12" chef's knife-- Wow this knife is huge! I've always wanted a really big chef's knife and now I have one. My wife is too intimidated to use it and it kind of freaked out her friend too. As long as it keeps cutting as well as it does, I'll be happy with it. Just make sure you have a big storage space or drawer to keep it in. It is almost too long for mine. Despite it's size, it is comfortable and balanced once you get used to it. It appears to be very well-made and a good value for the price.

Loving My Mercer Culinary Millenia M22612 12-Inch Chef's Knife
I'm not a knife afficionado, but I can appreciate a good knife. I bought this because we love our watermelon and my wife likes to toast her own pumpkin seeds. It's Japanese steel, so it came nice and sharp and holds an edge well. The blade is thin enough that it glides through the melons like butter...too soon for the pumpkins. I wasn't sure from just looking at the pictures, but the rubberized handle is comfortable and gives a good, stable grip. Well worth the money. I'm glad I bought it, it's nice, it works, I love it, what else can I say?

Serious cuts!!
Wanted a LARGE knife of good quality but did not need to break the bank. This fits the bill perfectly. Sharp, well balanced, workhorse with no frills! Great price.

Super sharp upon arrival
Love these knives. They are the same brand I used in culinary school. They arrive sharp and ready to use. Only disappointed it didn't come with a shieve.

Big knife.
So this is a big knife. The blade is 12 inches this does not include the handle. It is also sharp and works good though it can feel a bit flimsy.

Just buy it.
I have been cooking since I was 4, and I have worked my way up from a dishwasher to a chef du partie. I need a knife that works every time I reach for it, this knife does, every time and it holds a good edge. Don't think just buy it. Knifes are tools and this is the best tool for the price.

Small sword.
Unbeatable for the money. Please don't think that 12" is the overall length. Nope, that's just the blade. This thing is the size of a machete. I would keep it just because it's the biggest chef's knife I've ever seen, but it cuts very well too. Also the commercial style handle is very grippy and functional. I will be ordering another -smaller- model as well.

Really good 30cm blade, I especially like their handle design. I was using Mercer Millennia serrated bread knife for years and even though my favourite knives are Victorinox, the handle design makes Mercers somehow more comfortable to go through a lot in a pro kitchen.
