How wide is the escutcheon plate at the bottom? I need to know if will cover all three holes from my old faucet

The base plate is 10 3/8 " wide. Just measured mine..

Shocked by faucet manufacturers switching to cheap plastics, is the pull down part of the faucet metal or plastic with a faux metal finish? Heavy?

The pull down part is metal, med weight—not too light but not heavy enough to keep it from seating when retracted. We love the faucet and are pleased at the quality and ease of use. TIP: buy the cheaper battery operated one. In the box are directions for converting to electric for about $30–much cheaper than buying the electric model outright. If you have a power plug (like for dishwasher) it’s nothing to hook up.
