The extra-heavy one is the best, IMO
I had been looking for a product such as this, and this is good for forearm and wrist work. And because of the bending as well as twisting actions and angles possible, works many of the arm muscles. I was twisting the #2 yellow, the second easiest one, and it snapped in half upon twisting. A disappointment. I am not a bodybuilder or powerlifter at all, I'm an old guy. So my set now is down to five and the beige #1 will probably break soon if I use it for warming up, which is not likely. #1 is so easy that it's suitable in my opinion only for beginning orthopedic rehab of broken bones, or the frail elderly. I wouldn't avoid these exercisers because they are so good at what they do. But this Cando manufacturer needs to strengthen the rubber compound so that they don't snap suddenly. I read elsewhere in Amazon reviews that I am not the only one who has a complaint about quality control of this brand.I recommend buying the blue one or preferably this black one only and trying it. It should be all you need to do what these exercisers do. It just won't go through as much range of motion as the easier ones. You can always buy an easier one later, and then work up to the heavy one you bought first. If you work with this twister in all possible positions for two weeks, you'll find you are stronger, with more range of motion, and not likely to need a weaker one. I find the #1, 2, 3, way too easy and I am guessing likely to suddenly break, after what happened with mine, if you really twist it as far as you can. And easily broken if you bend it into a U. Both of these movements are what they're supposed to do, aren't they?I just gave this black one as a birthday gift to a nephew, I like it so much.

Tennis Elbow Better After a Day.
I have tennis elbow, and based on my research, this is one of the more highly recommended tools you can use to correct the problem. This product was about half the price of the more well known brand, and I've read a couple reviews stating that the resistance was too much - well, if you read the product listing, there are different products/colors for different resistance levels. The information I've read states that you should generally start with low resistance, I went with medium (green) because I consider myself to be fairly strong, and this works great for me. After one day of use, I woke up in noticeably less pain than I had been experiencing in the morning for the past month. Also, I considered going with a larger (longer) model, and while I think I could have done that, the 12 inch model fits nicely in my work bag, so I can get a couple reps in while I'm at work.On a side note, I read another review stating there was a film, and yeah, I can't tell if it's maybe warehouse dust, or just a byproduct of manufacturing, but there is a slight bit of powder coating the product that came off on my hands, first use, but after that nothing. I can still see it on the middle where I haven't handled it, but I seriously don't care. I'd just give it a rinse if it bothered me.

Great Flex Bar
I've been battling Tennis Elbow. Been using CanDo flex bars at my PT rehab center, and finally decided to buy one of my own. At first, I bought some varying brands, thinking this would be an easy purchase, but nooooo, not so easy. Other bars are way too light, and some don't return to shape very well at all.The CanDo bars are great. I ended up with a blue one (heavy). It is pretty heavy and returns to shape perfectly. If you're a gorilla, then get the black one (extra heavy). Otherwise, most folks will likely want something in the Medium strength range. There are 6 strength ratings (different colors) of the CanDo bars. This is a very good product!

Watch my video review for everything you need to know to make your purchase. Best tool to relieve Tennis Elbow / Carpel Tunnel.
The media could not be loaded. I have carpel tunnel and have been looking for a way to relief pain as well as strengthen my wrists. From my research I found these twist sticks were the best, simplest and cheapest way to do that. I'm very happy with my progress and feel my wrists have improved in the last week of use. There are more gimmicky contraptions that strengthen the wrists but they usually strengthen the pull (towards your body) of your wrist. This stick can strengthen every single movement of your wrist. There was a problem which you can in my video review, where the unit has excess rubber from the molding process, which was not properly removed. In the industry it's called "flesh", this is the residual material (unwanted) that is left on the product from the molding process. I used basic sanding paper to sand this excess rubber down and now it's perfect. This was a problem for me because I used this stick for exercise, as I gripped tightly to work out the muscles. You might not find it such a problem for tennis elbow release, because you don't need to grip the stick so tight. Regardless, this can be easily fixed. There is a different manufacturer that makes similar sticks but I chose this one, why? The other manufacturer's sticks increased in thickness as you went up the hardness. Their similarly hardness stick was 2 inches wide, while this one was only 1.5 inches. I thought the 2 inches would give me a worse grip and thus a worse workout. These Cando sticks are all 1.5 inches wide, no matter which hardness you choose.

Just right for my needs
I've used a 25 lb version of the rubber twist bar for over a year now, to help keep my grip and forearms in shape as an older person.I've gotten to the point where that isn't a real challenge, so I ordered this one in the 50 lb (black) version. Feels good, and gives quite a workout... expect I'll be using it daily for years.
