Aztec Death Whistle Keychain - 16 Colors - Made In USA (Blue)

I had already purchased a larger ceramic Aztec Death Whistle that is amazing and loud and does exactly what it should, trouble was that one was too bulky and heavy and if dropped would surely crack like an egg. I was looking for a smaller 3-D printed version of the same thing. I saw this small keychain version and thought its smaller and weighs less, surely this will do the trick I use it as a trigger object when investigating the paranormal. The item arrived (I chose the Glow-In-The-Dark color) and tried it out. While it does make A SOUND, it is not the true Death Whistle sound. It takes a bit of practice, and dropping a few drops of water inside does help a bit, but I am disappointed overall at the result. I will go back to the larger model instead, not sure why it doesn't work as well, my guess is the size of the resonating the sound DOES make a big difference. Also, for $15 its priced too high IMHO, should be more like $5,

Everyone I’ve given one of these to really enjoyed em. It’s well built and simple. No complaints. And the sound is creepy once you learn where the sweet spot is

I got the medium glow in the dark, it works but very quitely . It didn't cost enough to worry about returning. So I started testing to make it louder, long story short push a BB into the air chamber increases the sound output

Excellent sound, takes some practice to use, lovely colors, highly recommend for the novelty of the instrument alone.I accidentally got water on my whistle and wow! The small amount of water transformed the sound from just similar to exactly how a person screams. I've tried it dry and wet, there's just something about the moisture which makes the sound ring true. It sends chills up the neck to hear that little bit of wetness to the screaming.Also, I've been using my whistle to signal the birds in my area. The sound carries and echoes to lovely effect through the urban environment. I might be my areas newest cryptid now though... Oops

I don't normally write reviews but this store deserves it. If you want an authentic sounding Aztec death whistle at an affordable price this is your store. I bought two, a medium one and a key chain one. BOTH ARE TERRIFYING. Don't be fooled by the small key chain whistle, it creates an ear piercing scream like a cross between la llorona and a cougars mating call. Im thinking Im going to buy the large one as well. 5 stars

It took some experimenting to get the positioning right for a good scream sound. My husband hates it and worries what the neighbors will think... lol. I got the glow in the dark keychain version. It glows really well. I’m torn between telling other people about it or not, because it’s so cool but I don’t want everyone else to have one. I think I’ll wait until after a camping trip or something..

I was so looking forward to using this as an attention getter in my classroom. Instead I got something that makes no sound no matter how hard I try to blow, and I am a music teacher. I’m so disappointed.
