I have been looking at an enameled cast iron dutch oven for a long time. What caught me first, is this is a Lodge. I have other Lodge cast iron skillets and use them often so I knew the quality should be there. Secondly was the color! I love the shades of blue and so doesnmy husband. Third, I bought it Black Friday for a great price! I have found it to be the perfect size for soups and stews, which we have made a lot of both already. My next venture with it is to bake bread. It is "heavy" but this does not bother myself or my husband.

I ordered this pot to make sourdough. When the first one arrived, I noticed that it was not packaged properly and the top was damaged. The enamel was already peeling off. I quickly notified Amazon and they made it right by sending me a new one. This new one came improper packaging, and it even came with lid protectors to prevent scratching of the enamel. Product seems sturdy and I can’t wait to bake my first loaf of sourdough with it. Product is a good size and color is true to what was pictured.
