Great features, great sound
Love all of the features of this head unit. The installation went as expected. We had purchased an adapter harness and downloaded a schematic for our vehicle, which made it relatively simple. At first I confused the remote wire with the power antenna wire and only the radio worked. Once I saw my mistake, it was an easy fix. I wish HD radio tuned in faster, but when it does, the radio is like listening to a CD. Tons of audio features and adjustments. I'm still figuring it all out. Alpine has a free tuning app for phone or tablet with a simple and more graphical UI. It lets you create, save and apply settings for EQ, balance, fade, etc. BT has worked really well and the various audio sources provide lots of flexibility. This unit pretty much does it all. The sound quality is really good. It was such an amazing improvement over the stock system, even using the stock amp and speakers. We later added an amp and new speakers, and when the volume goes up, the sound is still really clean. This was a little more than some of the other units I was looking at, but its worth the price.

Good Head Unit
Great head unit for the money. I have purchased four of these for various vehicles. I have them in my 1999 F250 Superduty, 1997 Lincoln Mark VIII, 1990 Mustang and a travel trailer. I always buy Alpine because they always last a long time and sound great and this one is no exception. Install was a snap. The sound quality for the Bluetooth calling is good and connecting with a phone was hassle free. My Lincoln has a factory amp and with most head units volume 4 is like volume 10 unless I bypass the factory amp, which is a pain. This unit has an "ADJ LVL" function that acts like a gain. I can set it to -7 and it will respond like there is no factory amp connected. If I get another car I will probably get another one.

Alpine Cd /Bluetooth stereo deck cde-175bt
Great stereo upgrade I did in my classic 1971 K5 Blazer, great sound out of the deck and still able to use the cd player and Bluetooth , very easy to use.

Very good over all but needs KTP-445A power pack to sound its best.
I love all the features of this unit as well as how easily it connects to my phone and how easy it is to tune the sound with the TuneIt app. Everything is layed out well in the menus and is easy to access. Definitely enjoying the functionality of the unit. Bluetooth streaming from my Galaxy Note 3 works flawlessly and is high quality as there is no noticeable difference in sound quality between being plugged in and streaming via bluetooth. This is the main reason I got the radio and it is flawless in this regard. The sound quality of the unit did not quite meet my expectations. I do believe that the Pioneer unit I had in my last car that was similarly priced from 2011 sounded better than this unit. It's not bad but it just isn't as clean sounding as the Pioneer was. That being said once you add the KTP-445A power pack there is a night and day difference. Everything becomes crisp and clear and it blows every other car radio I have ever heard out of the water. The SQ of the head unit was a bit less than my expectations, but the sq of the 445a power pack was above my expectations so everything evened out in the end and I got exactly what I was looking for out of this set up. If I had it to do over again I would get the exact same setup because of how good it sounds now that it's all done.

Totally worth the extra $$$
I purchased this deck to replace my 2-year old Pioneer MVH-X560BT media deck. After less than 2 years, the Pioneer's front RCA output decided to stop working in the left channel. Unlike the Pioneer though, the mounting depth of this single-din deck is not half size. It's a little bit heavier than the Pioneer, but this wasn't an issue. I used to think that, mostly all of the big name brands (sony, pioneer, jvc), were the same. I typically use a 4-channel amp for the speakers, and monoblock amp for the subwoofer. So I thought that any deck would do, since I power all of my speakers with amplifiers anyways. I was dead wrong. The sound quality of this alpine deck is superior to any other deck I've tried to play mp3s on. There's a depth and warmth to the music, that my pioneer could not produce, no matter how much I played with all the different sound settings, and enhancements on the Pioneer deck or amplifiers. I have yet to connect my speakers using the deck's power output, so I can't speak to how well it sounds, or how powerful the listed 18x4 rms wattage is. Pros: 1. Incredible sound with mp3 playback 2. Bluetooth pairs fast and so far has never cut out during extended (~1hour) music playback. Paired with Sony Xperia Z Ultra 3. 4V preouts - All gains on my amp are now turned way down from previously using a 2V preouts 4. FLAC support through USB 5. Front USB port 6. Fast and easy to input eq settings through the app (via usb/bluetooth) Cons so far: 1. More expensive than other media decks 2. Alpine tuneit app requires an account in order to save user eq settings Hopefully this deck will last a lot longer than 2 years. At the time of this writing, I managed to purchase this deck for $132 via an Amazon seller. Typically, the cost of this unit go for around $170 on some other online retailers, but after installing and experiencing this unit, I would pay $170. I've used/installed JVC, Pioneer, Sony, and Kenwood decks before. This is actually the first Alpine I've owned and installed, but would recommend it to anyone thinking about purchasing a media deck.

OK
Audio quality is nowhere as good as stock GM radio it replaced in our Saturn Vue. Bluetooth worked good for a few months. Now when the radio face is removed the bluetooth stays active and when calls come in and the phone bluetooth is active the radio(which is supposed to be off) is connected and callers can't hear each other. It is very weird as the radio is supposed to be off when the face is removed. Other than that the radio is good.

Great unit
I bought this unit for my Ford Focus. I had previously bought a Pioneer unit for the car about 6 months ago and liked the Bluetooth features compared to my Bluetooth speaker and decided to put one in my truck also. I was going to buy another Pioneer but the price dropped on this unit and was actually less than the Pioneer. I had owned an Alpine unit years ago and was impressed with the sound so I decided to put this one is the car since I use it for commuting and spend more time in it. The Bluetooth connects to my Samsung phone each time I start the car. Music from the phone will also stream automatically from your phone when set to that source. It will play whatever you were last listening to on your phone by default. Audio when listening to music is much better than the Pioneer. The sound quality on phone calls is not quite as good as the Pioneer. Set up was easy and the controls are easy to use. I would buy another.

piece of junk
Had problems with mine about a month after install. Seems like the connection between the face plate and headunit is bad because it always shuts off randomly over bumps. My wiring is all professionally installed w/ metra harnesses and grounds are top notch, nothing is loose or grounding out as it was the first thing i checked when it started happening. Releasing the face plate and reinserting it firmly solves the problem for a few days to a week, then it will start again once the face plate has had enough presses to face buttons to lose good connection. It usually happens when i press the "back track" button to skip songs in reverse. This was installed in a 2008 stock honda accord w/ factory tires (not lowered or anything). Has a smooth ride so its the headunit thats faulty. Also the bluetooth loses connection from my phone for a split second resulting in a short mute of music, like a CD thats skipping. Turning my BT on/off fixes it,then it returns randomly. Its NOT my phone because it never did that w/ my other 2 stereos (kenwood excelon and Pioneer DVD) Overall im not too happy w/ this headunit. 9band parametric EQ is also a pain to adjust manually. Its a set it and forget it type setup. It was only $160 which is dirt cheap as far as headunits are concerned so i never tried to warranty it. I'm assuming Amazon is NOT an Authorized Alpine dealer anyways.
