I really like the tape. It's perfect for mounting photos where you don't want them torn when removing them. Note that it doesn't stick well to some surfaces. Be sure to pull the protective section away prior to trying to use it. The first part is only sticky on one side. It's clearly labeled that you need to do this; "Unwind this protective wrap," in several languages.

The naysayers seem to not realize that the first 2 to 3 inches is simply an unusable leader, the actual usable tape begins after this. I use it primarily to attach postage stamp mounts to an album and it works great for this application (plastic on paper). The removable property is particularly important since you sometimes need to tweak the position in order to get better centering in the album or to remove it temporarily and then remount it using the same piece of tape. It even works great for full-page souvenir sheets. I also use it to tape pictures in frames to make sure they stay in place and do not slip. It also works great in this application. When removed, it leaves absolutely no residue. I think the major trouble is when people try to use it to take posters and other large heavy items and tape them to a wall where it admittedly does not work well. This tape is very hard to find in typical tape stores – Wal-Mart, Staples, Office Depot, etc. and when you do find it it typically costs 50% more than from Amazon.

I've always had problems in my home with things that don't stick together. I was out at a camping retreat, telling stories of my woes to all my friends around a roaring fire. It was a magical night, and I remember it well. It was the time where I learned about Francis Ford Scotch, and his invention of the tape. Okay, that may not be completely true, but this is: When you learn to master how to use double-stick tape, your life will change for the better. I used to have so many things in my home that just sat there, or could move with the slightest nudge. Now, because of half a case (so far) of this magical product, there isn't anything in my home that isn't stuck to something else. It's great! I'm ready for all but the strongest winds, very weak burglars, and cats who love knocking things off counters. Try this, and you won't be disappointed.

I tried using this tape on a couple of different items and it just wouldn’t stay. Very disappointing ☹️

It’s tape it does the job

I use this a lot to try out different positioning in my art and calligraphy. Works very well. I hope Scotch will someday make it in the more environmentally safe material, like they have with single sided tape.
