Amcrest 720p HDCVI Standalone Bullet Camera (Black) (DVR Not Included)

I bought an eight channel home security video system here on Amazon that came with four bullet cameras. I wanted to cover more areas and bought this to expand my system. They are slightly different that the ones included with the kit, but they worked flawlessly and have a great picture. The night mode works very good as well. At the price, I honestly want expecting much, but these surpassed all of my expectations and I couldn't be happier.Do keep in mind that these are not standalone, but require a DVR or other appliance to connect to.

I received this camera on March 13th. We installed it around the 20th and on April 23rd it stopped working. We thought it was a faulty power supply, we threw it away and purchased another one, and with it it didn't worked either. We checked with an older camera and it worked, so the problem was the Amcrest. It lasted approximately 40 days working. During that time it worked great, with excellent picture quality until it went dark. We have 2 more of these cameras installed and they are working fine for now. As it passed more than 30 days from the purchase date I cannot return it via Amazon, so I am stuck with it. Very disappointed. I can't believe it just lasted a month and change...

Daytime it works great, at night it has big halos and you can't see anything.Update, bought 2 originally but only installed onejust swapped them and the second camera works decent.

We brought the four camera set. They were used in Oregon where there is lots of rain. One of the cameras was defective and the lens fogged over.We purchased a replacement and will try and make a plexiglass cover. It is difficult to purchase just one camera although Amazon does sell a sinle camera. It should have been weather tight but was not.

Ordered four of these cameras and connected into the Amcrest 720P HDCVI DVR. Picture is much clearer than I had with my old CIB or Apoosonic cameras. I would like to give it 4.5 stars but apparently that's not possible. The reason for the half-star drop I feel is due to the camera mount itself, and not the camera. I don't have a problem with the concealed wiring, but if mounting on a horizontal plane (ceiling, or in my case, soffit), the mount limits you to how much horizontal adjustment you have. Unless I've missed something, there doesn't seem to be any way of pivoting the mounting post on the base, so when installing, you have to be accurate as to your horizontal position before you mount it. As I said, it's not worth a one start knockdown, but just a little inconvenience. Quality and clarity of the cameras are fine for my purposes.

Nice cameras, better than the ones that came with my DVR. I noticed right away that even though my originalcameras that came with my DVR are 720P just like the new ones, the new ones are a little bit clearer. I have an 8 channel DVRthat came with 4, 720P cams and added the new ones to compete a full 8 for the DVR, so I am able todirectly compare the old cams with the new ones.

Finally got an opportunity to hook everything up and these cameras are 1080p and not 720p. They do not work with my existing system and now I have cameras I cannot use and I'm outside the window to return. Poor representation of actual product. I'm now stuck with 8 cameras that I cannot use and I'm out the money for. Terrible!
