Metal is low quality and easy to bend. But it works. And you got a bunch of different types. Ok for the time to time use.

I got this set because I needed to do some wiring work on a hot tub connector and for work on my motorcycles. I had with low expectations as the set was pretty cheap. I was pleasantly surprised at how well the individual tools work and how many different styles are included. The tools are NOT heavy duty so you need to be gentle with them, but they do the job!

I lot of little de-pinners of ok quality. The edges are rough so they don’t slide so well.

For the value, this set has it all and more. If you need to depin a vehicle or electrical connector, you need these tools to do it the right way without damaging any cables or connectors. Fantastic!

If you're looking for a terminal removal tool set, you know what you probably need so I won't belabor the point too much. This kit comes with a variety of pin extractors so you will probably find one that fits the bill. The case is a nice addition though in truth it's a bit useless. The tools are functional though if you're in specialized pin removal land, you might find these a bit lacking. If you're looking to repin some computer cables or something like that, this will work for most modern electronics. Luckily there are enough duplicates where if something isn't quite there, a belt sander and some care will probably get you where you need to be. At the end of the day it's like $10 - it is what it is and can make your life a bit easier that trying to wedge a flat blade screwdriver in the connector.

This set requires mechanical aptitude. It's not as easy is simply sticking the tool in the connector joint. You have to look at how the connector locks into the plastic shell, choose a tool that should work, and after a few tries it will. Sometimes considerable force is required to separate the terminal from the shell. I have been working with these types of connectors for 20 years. To me, this set is a god-send. It saves so much time not having to cut off terminals and crimp on new ones. I have 12 fans I recently acquired at a rock-bottom price. But the connectors were pinned incorrectly. On each fan I had to move 1 of the pins. That would have been a nightmare-and-a-half without the tools in this set. But I had some idea of how the interlock works. Without that knowledge, I might not have gotten far. However, this set offers the greatest hope of separating terminals from plastic connectors. For the fans, I had to bend one of the tools to get it to work. So, if you need to do this type of work, it might be difficult at first, but there is nothing available to make it any easier. Terminal manufacturers want to sell terminals and connector bodies. They don't want users to take them apart and use them over again. So, they offer no such tools. If you don't understand this review, you don't need this product.

Useful product

A good selection to remove terminal connections from plugs on car diagnostics and repairs. Easy to use and reasonably value for the price as they fairly sturdy.

Excelente herramienta

No instructions, however, it's not difficult to figure out which tool to use to release the terminal from the connector. There do seem to be some sizes repeated, but for the price & the range of different styles to choose from, you can't go wrong. I am a long time mechanic & use these on a regular basis to strip broken or melted connectors. They work well & I personally find them very handy. The little hard shell zipper container they come in is also nice touch.
