I highly recommend this book. I have had and used and gifted people with numbers of this item. Good for all types of Christians and for those asking questions about Christianity. Small size and readable. Fairly low cost and therefore distributable. The discussion about the Shroud did seem a bit unnecessary to me but it is a good book. You can download similar but smaller materials from the internet; but, this book and its electronic copyrighted form are still the best ways to ensure authorized good answers. Good even before you may find yourself asking the questions and better if you have already asked the questions or even if you have found yourself troubled by the questions. A good introduction on which to build a defence of the faith (as if it needed defending). Just do not try to win the argument and lose the person.

This book is great, it helps me answer questions others have asked me about the Bible. The answers are easy to understand and make sense. I am very happy with the book and might get more to give as gifts.

This is an excellent book for apologetics students and skeptics alike. The author takes common objections and questions and provides Biblical answers. It is not an exhaustive theology book, nor is it meant to be. The answers are fairly simple and straightforward do to be understandable by someone without a Christian background. At the end of the book is a gospel explanation and brief sinners prayer.My 97 year old father-in-law, who was hard hearted toward the message of repentance and redemption through Christ, read this book all the way through, then called us to say he had found a prayer in it that expressed exactly how he felt and he had prayed to God with it. It was the sinner's prayer, and he went on to live his final 3 years growing in the grace and love of Jesus.That's the power of the Holy Spirit using this book!!

Josh McDowell does indeed answer a lot of tough questions concerning the Christian faith. I may not agree entirely with all his answers (I've yet to explore some of the questions)., but so far as I can determine, they are answers based on in depth studyof the Bible and an understanding of the scriptures. I have bought several as gifts for friends of mine. Thank you. Faye

This book is definately worth reading. I have found it useful for answering my own questions and for providing suitable answers which make sense to questions that others may ask. It is very readable, has answers that are intellectually sound. I have read at least one other book where the answers are a bit childish - this book is not like that. At the end of each answer the book has a "further reading" section - so if there are questions that are important to you, you could dig further into some of that material.

This is an excellent book. Josh McDowell is a good teacher and has an excellent understanding of the Bible. His arguments are soundly based in scripture.

Cheap fundamentalist apologetic.Some good insights on some issues, but most of it is merely the reflection of American evangelicalism and its approach to the Bible.
