Tobar 38321 ATMOSFEAR Board Game

I brought this for family halloween and wasn't disappointed. The app was no issue to set up and we mirrored it on the t.v so it gave a good presence of the gate keeper, who gave us some good laughs. Just a note to say read the game set up before you start him tho as he doesn't explain the game for you he just starts playing straight away. It's very fast paste which helps if you have a heads up on the symbols on the board and their meaning for the game before you start play. As you don't have time to refer to the instructions whilst playing. For the money paid and game received I was happy and will play again with family and friends. We have a 11 year old who could follow the game ok. Would recommend.

Absolutely love this game.. I had the original when this first came out in early 90’s. Purchased this new version for my granddaughter and it didn’t disappoint. Perfect forGamesNight with family and or friends..even more exciting when you have a tipple with it hahahaaha

We bought this game for a friends dinner evening and really enjoyed playing it. Downloaded the app (which could be improved and updated) on an ipad and used that to play. The game itself is more complex than I expected however still really enjoyable. Everyone had a good time playing and it has a reasonable around of replay ability

I used to play this as a kid myself so was thrilled to see a newer version had been released. Bought this for the kids birthday just before Halloween so great timing for setting the ‘atmosfear’! The kids (9yo) loved playing this, they thought it was hilarious. Might not be suitable for younger children as it does pick on certain players and throws out the odd insult, but it’s all in good fun. None of us have actually been able to win the game before the time runs out yet, despite playing at quite a speedy pace with 4 players (it only gives you an hour on the countdown and then you all lose) but the whole ‘rushing to win’ situation makes the game all the more interesting, it keeps you on your toes and scrambling for the dice. Overall, this game is great fun and refreshingly different and more interactive than your average board game.

I had this originally as a video game but I borrowed it to someone and never got it back. My niece had a DVD version which we played with my children when they were young and they loved it. I tried so many different places to find this game but couldn't get it anywhere, until now, I can't wait till my kids (now in their teens) see this on Christmas day, I think this will be their best present ever, well for this year anyway. Thank you Amazon my 10 year search is now over.

We have kids in our house so spending time at weekend playing board games is a great thing and the kids enjoy playing this game but for me I think they messed it up with all the app stuff but then I guess no one has video players anymore..

Reliving my childhood and being able to get my son to experience the sort of board games we loved growing up is worth every penny. Brilliant

Really fun to play however its no where near as good as the original video version, not as scary and this new one is animated like not a real human. Personally I wish I had paid more and got the original. Although it is fun.

This is rare and unique. Nobody realizes that this is only sold in Europe and other countries. It's not available here in the US, except through Amazon. The game is exactly like the 2004 version, which in my opinion was the best version of this game. Many people complain about the app not working right. It's not the app, it's your mobile device and your internet. This app pulls from a server any video and audio for the game. This is so it can be updated and changed for special holidays and such. It's meant to evolve over time. With that in mind, you'll never play the same game twice. Much better than a DVD with limited replayability.For those having trouble with the app, here's a suggestion. The app allows you to play offline mode. It downloads the necessary videos and audio. Once downloaded, the app is smooth as silk. You'll notice the little skeleton hand on the left side of the screen. That's where you access the menu for the offline mode. It may take awhile to download, so do this along time before you play. I have good internet, and it works flawlessly for me. I decided to download the files anyways, just in case this ever gets removed from the app store. Because with all these negative reviews, they may just do that.As far as multiple devices, I wouldn't bother. It doesn't add anything game changing. He may talk to an individual person once throughout the game. But he does that anyways in normal mode. Plus I think it takes you away from the emersion of the game. It's hard to get the app to use multiple devices. It's very glitchy. My advice, just screen share it to your tv and leave it at that. Not worth the hassle.The game is fantastic. The more people, the better. I'm glad this game is back and I thank the creators for making it available for us in the US. The price is cheap and it's an experience worth much more. Yes it's CGI, but imagine the cost of getting an actor to do this. Remember, the game is different everytime. So the actor would have to play that role for hundreds of hours of footage. The game would be so expensive. It's not like the DVD with maybe an hour of footage. So keep that in mind. They did a very good job of recreating the original. I'm very happy with my purchase.

La variante da tavolo di Atmosfear è interessante, come dicevo nel titolo è un pò "Gioco dell'oca" con la presenza piuttosto invadente del Gatekeeper e delle sue intromissioni improvvise. Ho dovuto tradurre tutti i sottotitoli per permettere ai bimbi di giocarci leggendo ciò che veniva detto al video. Si divertono molto.Purtroppo la casa editrice mi ha risposto che la versione italiana non è prevista e mi sono dovuto inventare una soluzione alternativa con un "hack" adhoc.
