The Protear DAB+ head phones are a game changer for hearing protection and communication for me as a professional gardener and landscaping. During long periods of maintenance I can listen to my favourite radio stations or connect to Bluetooth when I want to listen to my playlists or podcasts. I no longer miss phone call's whereas before I would often miss calls having to fumble for my phone. There are better quality sounding headsets and higher level of noise reduction using dedicated ear defenders on the market but nothing that offers both together with functionality ease of use in the Protear headphones. I find them comfortable even during long periods of use. The battery life is great once charged up I can use them continuously for a couple of days before they need a charge. Overall I would highly recommend them for situations where you need the hearing protection and can easily be contacted while listening to your favourite sounds. In my view they are great value for money and now an essential pice kit. Customer service are prompt and very helpful. This being my 2nd pair, after managing to brake my original set haven dropped them from height carrying out tree work. After contacting customer service for a replacement part they offered a new set instead as a good will gesture. Get yourself a pair I promise you will love them.

Received on 5th April, ceased to function on 9th of May won’t charge, bought new battery and charging cable, still not charging. Would not buy this brand of headphones again.

The ear defenders work great - I don’t hear the wife and kids. Even when I do hear them then the radio station (DAB) does the job. It’s a shame there’s no settings for treble, bass etc as it lacks the depth but then again having a rave in your headset defeats the object of ear defenders. Well built, charge lasts about 6 hours if not more. I’ve not made any calls via the headset so can’t comment on that. It’s a shame it doesn’t come with a carry case to protect them when not in use.

Ordered these to use in a noisy workshop and also for grass cutting which can be a bit mind numbing so it would be nice to listen to some music. The first set had a crackle when listening at low volume so I contacted customer service at Protear. Two days later a replacement set arrived and they were perfect. It has transformed my grass cutting experience. I have also now discovered podcasts so I can expand my knowledge of the universe whilst mowing the lawn. Bluetooth is clear and accurate. FM goes in and out of tune as I travel around the lawn but is clear if stationary and in a good reception area. DAB goes from absolutely crystal to nothing if you move around. The metal shed doesn’t help in either case. Overall they are comfortable to wear for long periods, function well as ear defenders, adequately as head phones, and definitely improve your quality of life.

I was a little worried these wouldn't live up to expectations, but I was wrong, they're really well made, nothing feels cheap on them, sound quality is good and blocks out a surprisingly high level of noise, it'll take a minute for your ears to adjust to the padding inside however once you get used to them there very comfortable. I bought 2 pairs of these, unfortunately 1 pair stopped working, contacted Protear about it and they have been faultless about replacing the product and getting a new set to me in under 3 days, I would 100% recommend. Also the battery in these is brilliant, my pair turned up fully charged and I think I had them on for about 6 hours a day for at least a coue days before they needed charging. Really happy with my purchase.

Let's be fair, if you live in rural UK this DAB headset is a waste of money!. My wife had been given an FM set (different manufacturer) and I have to say I was impressed with them, however I really wanted DAB to listen to my favourite stations. Reception is poor to say the least, sound quality is 'Tinny', they do however act as a very good ear defenders, albeit a very expensive set!. Whilst they are adjustable, I wouldn't want to wear them for more than two hours at a time Hugely disappointed, and would on that basis advise avoiding purchasing.

I'll kick off with the noise reduction, this is top notch In a loud environment. Bluetooth connect for radio etc is great although to use the inbuilt mic for the phone it's not good, obviously your in a loud environment so it just picks up all the noise. Dab radio and fm radio both work as expected. Very well built and very comfy. Down side.. battery on a full charge equals about 9hrs non stop, sound as someone said before is tinny, but you don't need them flat out just nice to break the monotonous day, and its also not safe to not be aware of machines running, and the earmuffs covers the foamy bits I can't find any to replace with so must mean you have to buy a whole new headset.

Super casque , je l’utilise tous les jours il est agréable à porter et le son est top. La radio fonctionne très bien le Bluetooth aussi Je recommande ce produit

Ho/abbiamo provato per ben tre volte a caricare completamente la cuffia come da istruzioni e non ci sono/siamo riuscito/i !!!!!! Questa sera ben sei ore e quaranta minuti. Le istruzioni scrivono di due/cinque ore!!!!!!!!!!!! Amazon cosa ne pensa del mio primo acquisto?!?!?! Qualcuno si farà vivo?!?!

Bon casque mais il n'y a pas beaucoup de basse voir aucune et impossible de régler le sons, malgré ça bon produits dans l'ensemble, le dab est un gros plus.
