Excellent Routers
I use it as mesh for Huawei WS7200 WiFi Ax3 Quad-Core Router. Once I have set up the Huawei with Etisalat WAN I have connected the Honor router without any setting directly with Huawei and waited less than three minutes and lights will turn from red to green and that's it it's meshed.

Perfect
I was using the router coming from my internet provider, and I didnt know there is such thing as "Wifi 6"Bought this item, and man the only regret I have that I didn't buy it before. My internet works smoothly, my calls dont drop anymore. Before I had problems with iPhone, now it works perfectly.

Phones home with your data - other than that good cheap wifi 6 router
So.. do be aware the T&Cs tells you it sends data about your devices and network to Huawei which is totally unforgivable for a router imho. IF like me you run it in AP mode then you can use your real router to block the MAC address from the internet stopping it doing this (though of course you will now have to look for and upload updates manually). If in router mode of course you'll be out of luck and have to accept this. If I was considering it as a router that would immediately eliminate it for me - but if you're happy with your data being sent to china, wire in.

Decent WIFI 6 router at a bargain price
So this one is fairly basic router. White in colour, simple yet elegant design, nice and sturdy, with UK mains plug. Looks like something built by Apple. It does not have fancy bells and whistless such as USB ports or installable apps for torrents, dlna etc. But what it can do it does it really well. Very stable, low latency and around 900Mbps routed WIFI throughput!!! Yes windows file copy throughput over WAN port to WIFI client was reaching 95-100MB/s. Very close to wire speed indeed. As far as WIFI operation is concerned there are 2 modes. It can operate in AP Mode (ie wifi only, no routing). And there is a Repeater Mode where it picks up internet from another WIFI router and broadcasts locally. This not only works like WIFI extender but it does it seamlesly (keeping the same WIFI name). On top of that it allows cable connectivity aswell via LAN ports. If your neighbour is happy for you to use their WIFI then this mode essentially creates a WIFI bridge. I was able to connect this way to a Netgear R7800 router on the other end so primary router does not have to be identical make/model. I have no doubt having multiple of these in a larger property would work just as well. For the price of one singing and dancing router you can get 3 or 4 of these in essentially a mesh setup. They call it Link+I also have to mention, having used Netgear routers mostly, this one has pleasantly snappy and modern looking UI. Options are laid out intuitively and any changes take effect fairly quickly. This router is also a perfect companion for Oculus Quest 2 wireless virtual desktop PC VR setup. Headset links up at 1200Mbps and maintains 40ms total latency in sideloaded Virtual Desktop app. The lag is unnoticeable and even fast paced games like Beat Saber at expert level streams absolutely fine for me!!!okay I have to admit I haven't been excited like this about a WIFI router in a good while. So I guess you can tell whether I would recommend this or not. Of course I would haha!!!But with one big caveat. Being made by Chinese company Huawei could be forced by state to install some surveillance chip on the router. It won't be able to snoop out your passwords if you use modern web browser but in some situations it might be able to figure out your email address and what web sites you visit. By extension they can check who you do your online banking with, where you get your news from and other internet habits. It will also be able to see what devices are connected and when. By extension they will know make and model of all your connected laptops, tablets and phones; what time you leave home, what time you come back and what time you go to sleep. The router may even be compelled to participate in "home nation" orchestrated cyber attack campaigns. This is probably the worst I can think of with a security hat on my IT head. Do keep in mind though this surveillance chip is just a speculation based on what we all hear on the news. I really hope it is false though as I am planning on ordering one or 2 more.

Good...but not great
Let's keep this simple... it's a stylish router that can offer more stable connection BUT doesn't really extend the signal.Pros:1. Upon setup this allows you to create your own password rather than having to use one of those long random complicated ones.2. Scan the QR code on the bottom of the device and it will take you to their smart app - a convenient way to manage all the settings for the router (included creating separate bands, turning the indicator light on/off, running diagnosis etc.3. Wifi 6 and Wifi 5 compatible... In the settings, it has a toggle to turn on a special Wifi 5 mode which makes it work better with older techConsThe main one for me is the signal range... I live in a bungalow and it will not travel across a small living room, through a glass wall, the width of a hallway, and into my bedroom which is a single breeze block wall -- Wifi 6 is supposed to reduce this issue. I'd understand if it was several walls made of thick construction bricks.Luckily for me I got this to extend into the garden - which strangely it seems to have no issue reaching my shed which is insulated and further away from the router compared to my bedroom.Overall, it is a great looking router - the white makes it look sleek and modern. The setup was so easy cos all i had to do was plug an ethernet cable from my main BT Hub into the back of this and I was up and running in minutes.I don't use this as the main router - it's not to replace my BT Hub... this just complicates things as BT don't like you doing this. It is supposed to be possible to use this as an extender, but again that means messing with a lot of setting and companies like BT make it difficult to add other routers as an extender. If you really want to go down that route of creating a mesh network with this router, or using it as the main router, then the easiest way would be to buy 2 or 3 of these routers - connect one up direcly with your providers router (e.g. the BT hub) via ethernet... once that's up and running and youve downloaded the Honor smart app, you can go to "tool"s, then "advanced settings", "network setting", then "wifi relay" and set the other honor routers up.

honor wifi 6 router 3 on bt fttp
hi,i took a chance on this router, watched you tube reviews and decided to go for it and for 70 bucks a bargain.im with bt fttp 310 mb,with the bt router not even having split bands,i ended hating it always up and down only time it worked well was using earthnet.but since using the honor3 router it has been great we have wifi 6 mobiles, witch work perfect,i then bought a wifi 6 card for pc,and even that is excellant.the software is surprisingly good to, plenty to fiddle about with really easy to set up.i was ready to buy the dear asus router then seen this.im glad i did, this will do me till the newer wifi 6e comes out.on a final note to bt fttp customers who are thinking of getting rid of there poor router, for 70 bucks this is a bargain you wont regret it.

Cheap and Terrible
This router has a lot of flaws. One of the glaring ones is the almost complete lack of configuration. Even the most rubbish, cheap routers typically have more options than this device has. You cannot even set any of the network configuration for the device, e.g. the IP, subnet, etc. You have to rely on your primary DHCP serving it an address (which is an issue if it ever has connectivity problems).I bought the device to use as a WiFi 6 / AX bridge, but it keeps losing connectivity to the primary access point, it simply cannot see it anymore, but every other AX device is fine. This results in the device going into some horrible ping-pong between the IP it should have (and was issued over DHCP) and the weird 192.168.3.1 address it keeps reverting to instead before eventually just becoming completely inaccessible.Lastly good luck with firmware. Huawei's website doesn't list this router at all, as though it simply doesn't exist. Finding information about the firmware is basically impossible. It also seems to refuse to time sync or check for updates even when connected to another access point with internet access.Overall, a terrible device for the most part with next to no features and terrible reliability.
