I have two Samsung 980 Pros. One 1T, which has my Windows, Ubuntu and a data partition. The temp on this drive was 44*C prior and now it's down to 32*C. My second 980 Pro is a 2T, which was running at 43*C and now its down to 41*C. This is not partitioned and used for my photos by Lightroom and Photoshop.These two drives' temps have been reduced dramatically by these heatsinks! I'm impressed. I was expecting maybe about a 5*C drop.I'm hooked on these. I'll be getting another for my planned 990 Pro. Impressed!

Update: after trying to reinstall it again, i squeezed the heatsink and ssd together a little tighter for it to make contact better, and its now showing better results!Just recently installed the heatsink to my samsung 980 pro for my pc, but the “cooling effect” hasnt worked yet after an hour of use. The SSD still idles and games at the same temperature as it did without the heatsink, i tripled check if item was installed correctly and it was. Contacted seller see what he recommends if item is defective or has some tips on to make it work. Review will be updated once seller responds and if there was a fix.
