This book was a great gift for someone that has everything .

Gave this book to a dear friend who "wanted nothing" for her eightieth birthday. Totally understanding her reasoning, I took her out for lunch a couple of days after her official birthday celebration and presented her with "80 Things To Do..." Needless to say she loved it for all the creative ideas presented by a host of celebrities. Who doesn't love a good book, and who wouldn't love this fun and creative volume for such a special birthday.

What do you buy for someone turning 80 yrs. old???? The book was interesting, fun, and "a gift".

Having recently turned 80, I began to "reflect on my life", and being an avid reader, came across this book from Amazon. I ordered it and planned to read "one a day for 80 days". Well, I can't put the book down and after only 4 days reading, I'm half way through the entire book. The collection of stories, essays, thoughts, etc. are honest, positive, beautifully enriching and so very rewarding. I'm discovering just how wonderful my own life has been, as I 'remember and recall situations' similar to some of the stories I've read! Congratulations to Mark Evan Chimsky for creating such a clever idea for this book! This book will make you want to re-activate your retirement as you daily celebrate being an octogenarian. Thanks to all the 80 writers and to Mark Evan Chimsky for this creative book!

Fabulous book for those turning 80Everyone tells us they love it

I liked that the essays were short, but for some that were really great I wished they were longer.

Not uplifting at all.

This book was a gift. I’m about halfway through it. Some stories are good. Others depressing. But mostly I didn’t like that most of them were very liberal leaning. Not sure if I want to finish it,

easy read, inspiring short stories
