Good sights, GREAT customer service.
Wanted an inexpensive set of metal backup sights for a plinking rifle (didn't want plastic sights) so for $30/pair I took a chance on these. They appear to be aluminum and surprisingly quite well made for the price. Bases are solid and and overall construction is very good. They are a bit heftier than I expected, not necessarily a bad thing. There is no wobble when sights are deployed (raised). Sights are spring-loaded, so push the button & they pop up and lock. Then push the button and manually push the sight back down where they again lock in the down position. The front sight I got was perfect - no issues. The rear sight, however, was badly canted to the side when tightened onto the rail. The sight base was not machined correctly. OK, for the price I never expected "Tier 1" quality sights, but I do expect them to line up straight. I contacted the seller via Amazon (email) one evening around 9PM, included a few pics of the crooked sight mounted to the gun & hoped for a reply within a day or two. WRONG! I literally got a reply back within 10 minutes from the seller!!! Awesome! They apologized for the issue, asked for a few more details and promised to send a replacement rear sight out the next day - and they did. Three days later I had the new rear sight, mounted it and it was as nice & straight as the front. Product problems happen, but the customer service of Ozark Armament was OUTSTANDING! Kudos to them. The only real gripe I have with these sights is that the adjustment knob for the rear has no detectable detents when adjusting. There is some resistance/stiffness when turning, but no solid "click" lock the adjustment. Time will tell if this will be a problem, but for now I just put a small dab of paint on the knob & sight tower so I can visually see if the alignment shifts. Wouldn't hesitate to order again for another plinker/range toy.

Great Iron Sights
I bought these in 2017. They are still going strong. I have them on the same AR since 2017. They don't get a lot of use in actual shooting. They have been carried for miles and miles and shot occasionally. Over the years the shots have added up. A few scuffs from falling out of a truck or blind etc. Accuracy wise its great for me. I'm no bench rest shooter. I can keep it on a plate at 100 braced against a tree or shooting sticks, but most of my shots are 75 or less on reactive targets or a small mammal. Install was fast as you would expect, i have had no issues with the screws backing out under use but i have it on a 556 shooting 55gr pills

Inexpensive Backup Sights that are exactly what you're looking for
If your'e looking for some flip up Backup Iron Sights (BUIS), with a focus on keeping the price low, it's hard to do better than the Ozark Armament sights. I have owned and use several other BUIS, including Troy and Magpul, and when it comes down to it I would have no problem using these sights on a shotgun or as BUIS on a rifle. They hold zero fairly well in my experience, lock solid on the rail, and has a quality sight picture. If you're truly looking for some backup sights to use if your primary red dot or optic somehow broke, then you found the right sights. The aluminum sights provided a much sharper, cleaner picture than the Magpul BUIS. If you still want a few more details, then down to the key points: 1. The front and rear right clamped on to the rails with a solid lock. I have not noticed any wiggle in the movements. When flipped up, they do not lock solid into place, and the sights can be pushed a little forward and backwards. However, Troy BUIS do the same thing, and it's not uncommon. 2. The Ozarks have a button for the spring loaded flip-up function of both sights. These buttons do not need to be pressed, however, and you can always manual flip up the sights. Although not necessary, this is a pretty slick feature. 3. The overall quality of the parts used seem fairly good, and have a good finish, and are lightweight. The windage adjustment is difficult to move, moreso than most sights I have used, so this may be a concern to those shooters who regularly adjust their sights. Keep in mind, these are meant as backups. 4. A few specifics if you are a little new to sights: these are same plane sights, meaning they need to be attached to rails that have the same height. If you have a gas block with a rail that is lower than the rail you are attaching your rear sight with, this won't work. If you have a standard A2 front sight post, the rear set in this set will work just fine. 5. For long-term use and sustained recoil, you'll most likely find yourself readjusting the sights slightly. However, don't let this disway you from ordering - If you want backup sights that could be used as primary sights without fail, then you'll need something along the line of Troy BU

Reliable, tough and good looking at that, quality stuff.
Great BUI sights for the money, well-made and sturdy, they serve their purpose and then some. Easy to zero in and use. Strong springs on em, I suggest a drop or two of clp or any other type of lubricant for the ladies, these also pop to the right height for easy cowitness with optics. I have it mounted on my tungsten grey LWRC m6ic di rifle with a Sig Sauer Romeo 5 red dot and a Geissele SSA-E trigger (which I can’t speak highly enough about), along with a sub $20 Tacticon red laser pointer and an Epsilon VG6 muzzle brake and good god is it a sweet incredibly accurate setup. I’m sure in part it has to do with the cold hammer forged fluted barrel the rifle came with but overall it just works. I’ve put close to 1000 rounds through it and have gone out to the desert/range multiple times and the iron sights have held up without any issues at all. Lastly do not be concerned with the weight compared to other polimer ones on the market because that is negligible at best to be honest. Don’t overthink this one much, it’s a solid buy unless you’re really unlucky and get a dud.
