A little hard to master the technic to adjust the top part to the seats but you get used to it. My dog like to stamp his face in the mesh while I drive to make me feel guilty and thats hilarious. He can still jump in the front(its a boxer, i have a civic) when i leave him in the car for a few minutes(windows open or AC on even for the short amount of time so don't worry i love my dog) but i don't mind... because he does it when strangers get too close to the car while the windows and down so thats part of my alarm system haha

Worked perfectly. Easy to install, fit well in the car, and can be easily adjusted. Our dog doesn't try to jump over it, so it worked well for us. If your dog is a jumper, then you may need a full barrier. When I thought about buying a barrier, I liked how this one had a mesh window at the top and the bottom. Easy for dogs to see through when laying down, and easy for me to see through too . The bottom mesh is nice if you have air vents in that area. The straps at the bottom do not get in the way if your dog prefers to lay in the 'foot' area. The product is made of a sturdy nylon ( I think ) material, has large open hooks for fastening that are coated and have a stopper on the ends to prevent poking, the adjusters are made of good quality plastic. It's is well constructed, and looks nice. I think it could be washed by hand if it needed to be. Overall a great product and I would recommend.

I suspected from other reviews that the effectiveness of this product is very dog specific. But I figured for this price it was worth a try. The product itself appears to be made very well and is sturdier and easier to install than I expected. I have used this in two cars and the ease of installation depends on the specific car and your flexibility. The upper straps are easy, one lower strap took about 30 seconds to attach but the other one took about 20 minutes for me to find something to attach it too and wiggle it into a small space and get the hook turned.... all while upside down with my head under the driver's seat. However, in my other car everything hooked up in 5 minutes or less and I stayed pretty much right side up. I was a bit surprised how well my dog respects the barrier, but if your dog is the least bit determined to get in the front seat then this is not the product for you. It does work well for dogs that need a gentle but constant reminder to "stay in the back". I have a 65 pound lab mix puppy (11 months old) who like to be in the middle of all activities. I am giving this four stars instead of 5 because the effectiveness will very by the situation.
