Great all rounder!
My fiancé and I found this book very informative. It gives you a generalisation of what to expect and there were topics in the book we didn't expect to read.We got this book to read to start our additional research on further topics we may want to polish on before the baby gets here and found that this book was a great starting point. - If anyone on here really wants a more complex and informative resources on breast feeding and weaning etc, I highly recommend Heidi Skudder (The Parent & Baby Coach).

Great common sense and easy to read
I wasn't sure what to expect with this book, but I was very pleasantly surprised. No fancy jargon, just good down to earth common sense and written with all kinds of pregnancies in mind. I read it before passing to my daughter so I could recommend it to her. It's so important for women and their partners to be aware of the changes that occur during pregnancy and after birth. Brilliant book and highly recommended.

Good, but superficial overview
I’m glad this book exists, and it touches on important topics that society should be discussing more openly. I wanted to love this book. However, I don’t think it goes deep enough. It touches on a lot of topics superficially, and some of the advice on breastfeeding or sleep training, for instance, are not explored deeply enough to be accurate and objective.Because the information is superficial, the book feels most relevant to someone with either a very straightforward child rearing experience, or someone in early pregnancy who needs a general primer on these topics. I had an extremely tough time with a difficult baby, and this book doesn’t touch on the complexities of an experience like that, only discussing mental health briefly in the appendices at the end.
