I do not know why "rechargeable" is in the description. It's just a tall bottle of perfume. Possibly find the answer from the manufacturer.

How do I know this is authentic?

I did not have problems from this seller and my perfume arrived in shrink wrap. The last time I bought it from a retail perfume store in an outlet mall, they only had it in refillable bottles and as time went on, it didn't smell the same anymore.
