Rode Rodelink Lav Omni-Directional Miniature Microphone, Black

I bought it for using it as an external mic for my Nikon DSLR 5600. Few tips are here for you: 1. If you use it directly with inbuilt settings in your camera, it is going to grasp every sound around you and the recording will be noisy. Go to settings in the camera and reduce mic sensitivity to 7 or 8 level (maximum limit available is 20). Now the recording is crystal clear and it avoids all surrounding noises like a cardioid mic. 2. When I wanted to use it as an external mic for my android phone, it didn't function because this had TRS pin whereas our Android phones accept only TRRS pins. So I bought a splitter (Halfknot headphone splitter, which is available in Amazon) and connected it to my android phone through the splitter using it as a TRS to TRRS adapter. Now it functions as external mic for my phone and the clarity is excellent. Rode SC4 is a TRS to TRRS adapter - you can use that as well if available ( I bought it at bajaao) 3. Some of the Android phones may not use external mic for recording by default. In that case you may download an app named "Open camera" from Google play store. Open the app-->go to video settings->audio source -> and select external mic (if present) option. Now your external mic will be used as audio source for any recording through any audio recording app. 4. If you want an external mic only for your Android phone (and not for DSLR camera), then you can buy Rode smart lavalier plus which has TRRS pin by default. And If you want to use that for a camera as well, you have to buy a TRRS to TRS adapter (like RODE SC3 adapter).

This is a really nice mic. The sound quality is very good and I use it with a Rode VLXR+ to plug into my mixer or audio interface which provides phantom power, to convert it to plug in power for the Rodelink lav. The cable is only long enough to give you a couple extra feet after feeding it through your shirt, but you can plug the VXLR+ into an XLR cable to give you more length. The mic does work without plug in power but it is VERY quiet and turning it up to acceptable levels causes a lot of noise.

Acquistato usato sul Warehouse di Amazon a 77€, credo di aver fatto un buon affare visto che al momento viene sui 98€. Possedendo il Rodelink Filmmaker kit, conoscevo già la qualità di questo microfono. Avendo anche gli Hollyland Lark 150, volevo fare un upgrade visto che i lavalier di base non sono il massimo (vanno comunque bene per essere). Avendo come riferimento il lavalier della Rode, volevo averne un altro per utilizzare entrambi i trasmettitori Hollyland con lo stesso tipo di suono. La qualità è ottima, il suono è limpido e le dimensioni abbastanza ridotte. Nel bundle ti danno un coccodrillo per agganciarlo ai vestiti, un antivento su misura e una vitina per bloccare il connettore al trasmettitore della Rode. Però nel bundle del Rodelink c'era anche un filtro antivento con deadcat che in questo manca, peccato. Comunque sono soddisfatto dell'acquisto
