Q: Do these "ring" together? ie are they "that" good?

Yes they do wring together. They are not full size gage blocks (1" x 1") but about (.25 x 1") and they are very good for the price. They are all to dimensional spec just not physically wide full gage blocks. They do what I need them to do in my small machine shop. They are worth the price, well made and accurate. I am very happy with my purchase. I do notice they are softer material than standard gage blocks, tend to nick and get raised material if not handled carefully. But consider price purchased, they exceed expectations.

Q: I see they can be wrung together, can anyone confirm the accuracy of these? Im worried the steel will become tarnished over time.

These are very precise and can easily be wrung together.Exceptional for the price. I am a professional CNC machinist and use these for inspection purposes.
