Well made and larger products dispense better. The pull out dispenser has a round hole so try to have size of food dispensed match accordingly. Small gum or M&Ms may go over the delivery chute.

Fabulous woodwork! Very well made. Bought one almost 30 years ago at a craft show and used to hold M&M’s. I took it to my mother’s room at a nursing facility where it was stolen so I purchased this one to replace it and keep back at home. The old one had nowhere near the craftsmanship this one has. Beautiful!

I was looking for a durable Peanut M&M dispenser for my office desk. My M&M brand dispensers are plastic and showing signs of wear with loose parts that I am afraid will break. I purchased this Amish-made candy dispenser. The quality is VERY impressive; made from solid wood and has multiple stain finishes to choose from. The dispensing mechanism is simple with no parts that will break with repeated use. I'm confident it will endure through decades of constant use. It dispenses 8+ plain M&M's with one pull. There is only one negative, but unfortunately it's a big negative. The hole in the dispensing mechanism isn't quite big enough for the larger peanut M&Ms which results in the M&Ms jamming in the dispensing mechanism. To dislodge the M&Ms, it requires forced pulling hard enough to break up the M&M that's lodged inside. Unfortunately, the jamming happens with the vast majority of pulls, so we will have to use it for plain M7Ms only.

Absolutely beautiful! Works beautifully. LOVE the craftsmanship!!! I have family in Lancaster PA and Garrett County MD (both having high Amish and Mennonite influence among the community. We always loved shopping at craft fairs or stands, bulk stores and furniture stores because not only some of the most salt of the earth people you could ever meet they put their hearts and souls into everything they make. Always of the utmost quality and craftsmanship no matter what you are in the market for. This candy dispenser is perfect in every sense of the word. Thank you so much! The dispenser is very sturdy! I wanted a plastic “globe” rather than a glass one for my grandson for safety. He loves it! Gives him a good shot of M&Ms when he wants them. I aired it out a couple of weeks because the wood still had a pretty strong smell of finish or varnish. But happy with the purchase.

This candy dispenser is not worth the money, although I appreciate the workmanship…I was unable to fit the plastic candy container to fit into the designated opening…frustrating for sure…

This item is nicely crafted and visually pleasing. I bought the glass mason jars, because I agree the plastic just isn't nice enough. No big deal. But, there is a design flaw. There's a piece of wood with a hole in it to capture the candy. You pull the wood, and the candy drops into the chute. But the chute is not wide enough to catch the outer edges of the hole, so candy bounces off the top of the chute on the left and/or right side. And just like that, candy flying across the floor. This is especially problematic in an office environment with no dogs to come clean up.

We bought this for a dear friend, very difficult to buy for so I am always looking for something unique. He loves corn nuts so I filled it with a bag and I added a small wooden bowl to allow the nuts to not fall on the counter. He loved the craftsmanship, and loved the gift!

This is a great dispenser, bought it for my wife who loves it ,comes with a plastic jar for which I've replaced with a glass jar, great for M&M's as long as the small one's, the peanut type a bit too big, looks great on the nest of tables, each dispense releases about 7 to 8 small M&M's so great for a little treat, will last many years.
