The Klein Tools 50550 Glow-in-the-Dark Fish Tape has become a staple in my daily workflow. I use it regularly for 12V vehicle wiring, and it performs flawlessly every time. The fiberglass tape is stiff enough to push through tight spaces while still being flexible where you need it, and the nylon tip glides smoothly without snagging wires or insulation. The glow-in-the-dark feature is surprisingly useful in low-light conditions, especially inside vehicle interiors and under dashboards. The build quality is exactly what you’d expect from Klein Tools, and being made in the USA is a big plus. The stainless-steel components hold up well to constant use and abuse. Overall, this is a durable, reliable tool that makes wiring jobs faster and easier. Highly recommended for anyone doing frequent automotive or 12V electrical work.

Unlike the usual fish tape, this one is entirely plastic and designed for special situations (or maybe just special people). This is the only fish tape I own, though I’ve returned a couple others haha. It isn’t conductive, so no getting shocked when I bumble about the tasks I’m trying to handle! The line is glow in the dark and one end is adaptive for using accessories. I got the basic Klein hooks /etc kit and the little LED light tip and they all work fine on this fish tape. It isn’t super long but I’m not an expert either. The housing / reel is a bit clunky but hasn’t given me any issues. Can be easily fully disassembled if needed.

The only issue I had with this unit was getting it out the first time. The tension on the tape was too loose, making it hard to turn the reel. Once I was able to work it out the first time and re-reel it it’s worked great ever since. It’s also handy that the whole thing is removable from the reel, which I didn’t know when I bought it. You can also attach hooks, rods, etc. to the inside end once it’s removed.

Lol ok don’t get me wrong this thing works like it should but it is very stubborn as a brand new unit. Maybe I’m used to the steel fish tapes, it’s a pain to get it in and out but it works like it should. I’m an automotive tech, I used this to fish wires around on, in and through vehicles. Figured the flow in the dark feature couldn’t hurt anything and I was glad to see it came in a such a low footage option because I didn’t want to have a 200ft fish tape for a pickup truck install lol..

This is a very nice fish tape. I really like the glow in the dark feature. It helps in those enclosed areas. This works as a fish tape should. Easily extended and retracted if you know how! I've already used it several times for some interesting and difficult pulls. I got it for use updating equipment in my rv, but I see applications anywhere.

This isn't my new go-to fish tape but it works well in certain circumstances. It's very flexible and not as prone to get stuck as steel tapes, it glows, and can be removed from the reel when needed. The only complaint I have is that the tip can not be fitted with different attachments/rods but the end can be if fully removed from the spool. The tip does have a hole to tie pull string to, Wich is nice. Overall I highly recommend this for the person who never has enough tools to make their job easier.

The casing is very unwieldy and not smooth to extend or retract. Very barely glows and was not very helpful in finding the line in the wall. Was not intuitive to get the wire back in the case when I fully removed it, but eventually figured it out. If I had to buy again, would just get a regular metal wire at a longer length.

Very Difficult to get tape to unspool

it works, but there are cheaper options that work just as well. Glowing doesn't work well in my opinion and not worth any money. Does not rotate well and binds up, so look else where imo.
