Let your little engineer learn and play while tinkering!
Children can learn a lot about problem solving and cause and effect by tinkering with STEM kits. I love this one and so does my five year old.She loves Legos but I wanted to add a little something new to her selections. Some of these pieces don’t mesh as easily as I would like. She has needed help with attaching some of the pieces. Other pieces don’t hold well and will frustrate her when building her playground. In a perfect world, the pieces would just work well together, but I also like that she has to figure out alternatives along the way. These kits are a little pricey especially considering the feel of the plastic. It doesn’t seem super durable long term or in rough hands. Again, this isn’t problematic for me because I like that it teaches patience and being careful with materials.I recommend for all little engineers!

Awesome for STEM
This brand is wonderful at creating engaging activities for little brains. This is such an amazing item to have for independent play, it encourages problem solving and curiosity.

Slide would not attach
The slide refused to stay attached so I had to attach it with clamps. The manufacturer could easily have created a ‘snap to’ at the factory. Other than that it was wonderful, and the kids loved playing with the swings and the teeter totter and the slide after I fixed it.

Too advanced for age
This toy is much better for older children. It is not appropriate for your average 5, 6, and even 7 year old. I spent a couple hours trying to put together the different models they gave directions for. The toy would also be much better if there were multiples of certain pieces so you could make all of the playground equipment like shown rather than having to take previously made equipment apartment to make new ones. Disappointed with the purchase.

Engineering for Kids, Done Right
I bought this for my 5 year old and she LOVED it! The pictograms are really well done so that kids actually want to dive in and try to build them. It's not a dozen step-by-step pictures like Lego, which can seem long and boring to a kid. Instead, these cards just guide kids with 3-4 pictures and let them experiment and try things and inject their own creativity as well.I read some of the other reviews that say it's "flimsy", but in my opinion it is well-made to cover multiple designs and actually teach kids about stability. My daughter played for hours, creating her own designs when she was done some of the cards. Highly recommend!
