Does the bit hit a stop so you can apply downward pressure on the bit to keep it in the screw head by applying pressure to the wrench?

Mike, this tool does keep the bit from pushing through, I have even ground the butts of the bits down to fit in even tighter areas. I love this tool, I am an aircraft mechanic and use it nearly every day.
