4 Inch Faucet Mount extension shank for Thick countertop deck

Contractor that sold me the house took some shortcuts. I was able to install this assembly to secure my kitchen sink faucet. Works like a charm. Very happy with this product and ease of installation

This replaced the piece that came with the new faucet. The stock part was not long enough to fit the countertop. With this unit as a replacement, it fit perfectly.

I needed an extension for the faucet I bought and this item was just what I needed. It worked great.

This was a great fit for our extra thick counters; however, interior is slightly smaller in diameter than the channel the retractable faucet slides through, causing it to not retract.

I bought a cheap replacement kitchen sink faucet, and the mounting stem was way too short to extend through my marble countertop into the cabinet for mounting. This extension was to replace the OEM threaded mounting stem. The securing ring nut was superior to the OEM nut that came with the faucet which was a big plus for me. Likewise, the other mounting washers and hardware worked just fine replacing those that shipped with the faucet. One downside is the finish of the threads. On my purchase they were a bit rough which made threading into the faucet a little difficult. To overcome this, I took a very fine emery cloth and very, very lightly wrapped around the threads to take just the rough bits away. I don't recommend this unless you are skilled and meticulous as you could easily damage the threads. Plus, you need to clean the grit very thoroughly after such a light sand to avoid contamination that could create cross-threading. I don't want to give the wrong impression, the pipe did fit, but was hard to get in the first time and I did not want to force it and possibly ruin the threads. After the light sand and cleaning it went in just fine. Most importantly, the length was sufficient for solidly mounting the faucet and the internal diameter was wide enough to feed the hoses through. Inside is smooth and the hoses did not hang or snag. The extension shipped quickly and contained all of the parts necessary to do a good secure job. Overall, I'm very happy with the purchase.

No instructions….Never understood what to do with it …..piece of crap sending it back!!!!!!!!

This was exactly what we needed for our deeper than average butcherblock counters and our Porcelain sink!

It was perfect for my quartzite counter over plywood to fasten my faucet snuggle to my counter
