lt the EZ cap bottle has a special closure, more commonly known as a "grolsch" Style closure, which is a wire bale which swings a ceramic cap and rubber gasket upward and over the neck to seal the bottle. The most obvious advantage to this Style of bottle is that it is easily resealable. These great bottles are smooth sided, making labeling very easy! they are thicker and stronger than regular bottles. One interesting point is that since the tops are reusable, they are more environmentally friendly. These traditionally styled bottles call attention to the craftsmanship put into the contents. Perfect for showcasing your special beers.

Beautiful bottle- lid hard to put on but not impossible
This is a really beautiful, solid bottle. I love the cobalt blue- very calming. Nice, thick glass, and holds a good amount of water or any fermented beverage- about 4 cups. With cap securely on, it is leak proof (I tested it). If leaving a full bottle of water out in the sun, I would recommend either not closing the bottle or leave a few inches up top if closing the cap or keep the cap loose. In the sun/heat, it will expand and can crack the bottle if pressure builds up inside from expansion.I also watched a short video on how to properly get the cap on these grolsch flip-top bottles. I tried to post it on here, but Amazon would not post my review with an outside link. Just look it up. You have to put some muscle into pulling down the lever (do not worry it will not break,) and it will work perfectly fine. In time, it will get easier to open and close. At least, it is very secure.Overall, very pleased with this bottle and would purchase again.

exactly what I needed
just as described and seals perfectly! the cap is a little tricky the first couple times you pop it on/off but it resolves quickly without compromising the seal. great quality and I would recommend this product for a quality glass bottle.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND! Closing mechanism is crap!
Pretty good. Would've gave it 5 stars but the closing mechanism is crap. It's not smooth. Either poor engineering or it was damaged.**UPDATE**So, now that I've been using it for about two weeks, I can say that the closing mechanism is not only crap but metal flakes from the mechanism is coming off every time I use it. I find tiny little metal flakes on/around the rim of this bottle. If I don't remove it, I'm most likely ingesting these metal flakes! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT.

Nice big beautiful bottle
Very nice, big, sturdy quality bottle. Got the lid on by comparing to another grolsch bottle. REALLY hard to get closed at first attempt, but after a few opens and closes it began to work smoothly. If you have weak hands, you may need help the first time. I love this bottle!

Only one minor issue...
The bottle is as you would expect. The only problem I had was figuring out how to install the ceramic top. It would be nice if they would include a simple drawing to show how to do it. Other than that, it's a good product.
