This is a cool watch. Sure, the instructions are in Japanese, but fortunately in the 21st century, we can find a video and set the watch up fairly easily. And, yes the watch band is kinda stiff, but it seems SO strong and well made that I have no problem letting it loosen up. Awesome features are the atomic time and solar charging. For this price, I don't expect luxury, but I was a little bit disappointed that the watch face cover seems to be made of plastic and not glass. Maybe I can have it replaced, but otherwise I love the look of this field watch. Plus, like I said, for the price (just under $100) this is, nonetheless, a really fun watch to have and I'm looking forward to using it.

Over many years I have acquired 7 Casio watches. This is the most recent but it's the first time I have thought of reviewing any of them. In some ways this is a composite review of numerous Casio watches. All those I own are excellent watches. Those with G-Shock, solar power cells and signal controlled time are probably perfect watches. You can' t ask for more than a watch that never needs winding, never needs its battery changed and never needs the time or date to be adjusted whilst remaining 100% accurate. This particular model is solar powered and signal controlled. The first Casio I bought in 2015 has run faultlessly for nearly 10 years of regular use without any adjustments being necessary. I fully expect this most recent one to look after itself for years to come. These Casio watches have justifiably become iconic.

Great watch! Best value for a don’t-even-need-to-set and forget solar watch with automatic time keeping. No trouble getting the signal from Fort Collins in southeast Ontario. Good high-contrast easy-to-read analog display, although the face is more brown than green as depicted in the product photos. The digital display fades at moderate angles, but is very legible until you get off-axis. Controls as easily as any multi-button digital which is to say kind of cryptically, but once it’s set up you shouldn’t really ever need to play with it. As others note, the included strap is too stiff to live so treat yourself to a prettier one.

Flawless for such a small price. But not meant for any sort of manhandling.
