Q: What size are the metal balls?

I'm not sure of the exact size, but they do not pose a choking hazard for young children. I bought two sets for toddler classrooms. The children love them and they are safe to play with.

Q: Does anyone know if these smart max pieces are compatible with the magformers version called “stick-o”s?

The magnets should work together however the Smart Max are bigger and rounder.
