VegTrug Raised Bed Planter, Outdoor Herb Planter, 1.8m, Natural

Overall easy setup, took about 90 minutes with power tools. Used 9 1.5 litre bags of organic soil to fill it up ( about $10.00 per bag ) may need more as it settles. No Damage to box on delivery ( but heavy ) needed 2 people to carry unassembled vegtrug on deck. The only issue I had was the center board on the bottom supporting the legs was about 2 inches short which didn’t allow bottom screws on side to engage fully. Once assembled (unfilled) it’s pretty easy to slide around for final placement because once it’s filled….its not moving 😀. Guessing between 500-600 lbs full. The cedar has a water-based stain on it ( food friendly ). It’s most probably going to need a coat next year, plan to cover it at end of season. Took quite a while to pull the trigger on this but glad we did.

It was fairly easy to assemble. I watched a video which helped. Assembling by myself was a bit difficult with a couple of steps but it turned out awesome. It has a wonderful cedar smell. I would liked to have had it years ago instead of trying raised beds in a weedy grass garden. This is raised off the ground and I have the cover on so I don't anticipate weeds taking over. This will be so nice to have. I hope to reap what I've sown unlike past years with grasshoppers.

I am SO glad I jumped on this when I did - 19 available were sold out in no time. There were a few reviews indicating some issues with pieces of wood, but I took my chances in hopes any problem could be fixed by the mister; if he could not I absolutely would pack/tape it up as best I could, request a free Prime Return due to it being broken and defective, and select UPS to pick it up for free. For almost a hundy cheaper than any other sites AND free shipping/returns it was worth a chance. But mine arrived in perfect shape. I watched an assembly video first so it was incredibly easy to put together and went together quick with two of us and a power tool. It's not as yellow as I thought it would be from the pictures, it smells great and feels sturdy once all together and tightened. I ordered a wood frame cold cover, as well as a couple other lighter covers from another site because they were not available here. As soon as the cold cover comes I'm getting these babies going! It's gorgeous and I love it, no regrets!

I assembled my planter today. Looks great, just like the picture. Clear instructions easy to follow. Went slow to avoid mistakes: one person 4 hours. There was a discrepancy in the included hardware that confused me but it worked out. I’m delighted with the material and design. The product ships in a large heavy box, well packed but a lot for one person to handle.

So far, so good! This planter was easy to put together. Instructions were clear. The height is great. I like that the center is deeper. A nice item at a great value.

I am a 36 year old female who built this myself. I’m not handy but found this to be pretty easy. I think it’s best to have two people build it because mine came out far from perfect. The quality is good and I am excited to use it. I would recommend it watching the YouTube video on how to assemble. Because I did it myself I knew things weren’t completely perfect, and the video shows a way to assemble all parts without putting in all the screws until the very end. I didn’t like the idea of putting the last few pieces on separate so I attached the A pieces and the front and back pieces on and then went back and completed all the additional screws. I also used an electric drill as I’m not sure I would have been able to do this without one. Anyone who is actually handy would find this easy and be able to assemble it pretty quickly.
