Needed to replace a cable connector and this was just what I needed. I just took my time getting the wires in correctly and all was good! Using the passthrough connector was so easy! I highly recommend this tool.

Was a great buy. Tester works fine, crimper is awesome, ended up buying another punch down tool though. Didn't get much further than half a dozen jacks before it dulled out. RJ45 connectors are okay. I used a couple and they worked. Ended up buying a pack of passthrough RJ45s though, so that's why I wanted the crimper.

It took a few tries to get the crimp tool down. Once you figure out how to use it, it is a very fine tool. I wish their were more than just 10 red wire crimps but you get plenty of CAT 5e passthrough ends. The cable tester works great. Very simple to use. This only real issue is that the quick guide is in german, not english.

The biggest problem I had making the connection was feeding the thin 5e copper wires into the connectors in the correct order for 1GB Ethernet networks. Unfortunately, the kit did not include any instruction or where to find instructions. I did find several videos on line, but they all use a thicker, more manageable copper wire in Cat 6 cable. I was unable to thread all 8 copper wires through the connector at the same time as all the videos showed. Finally at the suggestion of my spouse, stripping about 3 inches of the jacket, then untwisting - straightening the copper wires, separating them in the correct order, and then threading them 1 by 1 in sequence into and through the pass through connector did the trick. The crimping tool, connectors and the provided boot supports made a solid and sturdy connection. After learning how to thread the wires, I successfully finished the remaining 8 or 10 connections which are now in operation.

It is the cheapest pack you can get. But you get what you paid for. I am returning this to get a better quality one (hopefully).The tester came in my order is a malfunction one. And it does not keep testing each channels which defeats its purpose as a tester especially for running long wires across floors.

For The Price This Kit Pretty much Has Every Thing You Need To Make Your Own Custom Cables ! I Have Made 50+ Cables in the little time i have had it ! The Punch down tool Is not That Great But it Did The Job ! Great Home Owner/Beginner Rj45 Kit With The Tester n Rj45's some Rj11's Also Even Has a Fuw Cat6a Rj45's ..Great Starter Kit..If you are a It Pro Then I Would Say Get a Klein But 40$ for Just a Tool for some one that only makes one Every Now & again Its not worth getting a Klein !But This Kit Was Like 20$ or Less & Even Has a Decent Tester

is a good tool for re-crimp your RJ45 and RJ11 cable.
