Excellent Ear Pad Replacement for the Grado SR225
I AM a chronic picky audiophile! I just listened to these Geekria Ear Pads, and they are great sounding replacements for the original ones on the Grado SR225 Headset. What an improvement! They make the headphone sound more dynamic, vibrant, and detailed than that through the original but now worn out foam pads. The new ear pads feel much stiffer on the ears than the OEM pads. I suspect that the soften and disintegrating old pads were soaking up the sound and dulling the clarity of the music. All is well now, and shows that ear pads do need to be replaced to maintain sound quality well before the pads get to the point of disintegration!

Geekria Replacements are Not 1:1 Replica of Official Grado Pad. This does not mean they are bad.
This pad is the Geekria Comfort take on the Grado "L" Pad. This pad has 2 materials. It has an inner softer foam glued to a firmer foam around the outside. It also has a very slightly wider inner radius than the official Grado L pad, increasing the exposure of the driver, although non-perceptively. As you can tell, It is not a 1:1 replica of a Grado pad, and even the firmer of the 2 foams is much softer than an official Grado. This is not an identical replacement and will feel and sound slightly different. This being said, this product is fantastic. It is highly comfortable, doesn't accumulate debris easily, and the pads sound remarkable. I think it's related to the inner foam, and whether it be there due to cost of production or not, it seems to me to provide a clear sound and great bass response. These pads are worth picking up while you still have life left in your Grado L pads. These pads are not direct comparisons to the Grado L pads. They are alternatives, and as many find, feel and/or sound better than the official pads. Many also find they do not, however I feel it's worth finding out for the price, as having a second pair of pads to rely on is ideal in the event of your originals failing, and the comfort these provide shouldn't be underrated. These pads are a good product and offer a reasonable way to expand your Grado experience while providing a substantial structural part you need to have a working set of headphones. If you are concerned about preserving the exact experience you had with your Grado L Pad headphones from the start, I feel the official Grado pads, although more expensive, would provide you with just that.

These are great!
I have GW100x Grado's, and the pads they originally came with were uncomfortable, squashed my ears, and honestly felt like they were making things HARDER to hear. I get that the sound disperses better through the foam, but sheesh, talk about uncomfortable for such an expensive headphone. I tried other replacements that just made the sound quality worse, but these ones do everything right. The sound quality is better I feel, and helps me not have to raise the volume as much. (Which is great, because the open back means I have to keep my headphones around 50-60 volume if I don't want sound leaking through) and the carved out middle gives some ear room and helps me feel less pressure while listening. Thank you for these pads! UPDATE: So, just a heads up on lasting power, these have now started peeling and falling apart with constant gentle use at less than a year, and I'm going to need to replace them now. Not bad, I guess, and still a better option than the original Grado pads for comfort, but I wish for the price it lasted a bit longer than that.

Didn’t love them
Not for me. Sat on my ear fine, but the foam has multiple densities that would be perfect, except the piece that actually sits on your ears is too firm for me. Was uncomfortable in any way I could wear them. Sound quality? Great! Functionally, these are a good buy. Just don’t be surprised when you find yourself having to take breaks from these boys.

Perfect replacement for 325x without changing the sound
This is about 60-70% thicker than the stock ear pads that came with my old pizza-box Grado 325x... This makes it much more comfortable and it eliminates a pressure point I used to get on one ear. However unlike larger over-ear foam pads (which are comfortable as well but changes the sound of the headphones) these maintain the frequency response and sound stage of the original. So I'd choose these over Grado's somewhat costlier replacement pads any day.

Better than nothing but not durable
I got these for my Grado SR-325is, because earpads never last more than 4-5 years or so, but these ended up being even shorter lived. These headphone pads are each made out of two pieces of foam that are glued together. After just 1 year of use, the glue failed and they started separating. I tried holding them together with PVA glue which worked for a little while but only a couple months. Also, the foam is disintegrating enough at this point that they no longer stay on the headphones and keep falling off due to being too loose. Just buy the official Grado pads. They last a lot longer to make up for the higher price.

Great replacement at a reasonable price
All Grado foam ear cups disintegrate eventually - they just flake off into little bits. Since Grado headphones are ones you will keep forever finding a reasonable replacement is important. These fit like the originals, they even come with a tiny tool to help with fitting them although you can easily do it with your fingers. The earcups are direct replacements and the price is reasonable.

The pads fit nicely right over top the thin foam ones by Koss. They are not too snug or loose. They are made of 3 layers of foam-- firm soft and firm. The outsides are higher density to reduce wear, while the thicker core layer is softer for comfort. This is a very intelligently designed product. If you want only buttery soft leather or velour next to your skin, then look elsewhere but I like these a lot. I think they will last a long time. A natural comfortable fit on these new series Koss phones and according to Z Reviews, they boost the low end a lot. I can wear them easily for hours, and I have sensitive ears.

These headphone pads are a great upgrade for my Grado SR60 headphones. They lift the headphones slightly away from the ear and remove the central padding that I have always found uncomfortably presses against my ear when listening to music for any period of time. Be warned that they do expose the white mesh that covers the speaker area but I've not found this to be an issue. I can't say sound quality is remarkably better, maybe sharper, less muffled, but it certainly isn't worse and to the reviewer that commented that the pads snag various parts of SR60s...well I found they do...but only if you push the pads on too far. Summary: quality product, fits the SR60s perfectly, better than the originals, a worthy upgrade

The earphone idea is cool, but this one does not fit well and if you managed to loosely attached them the headphone drivers will literally touch you ears directly, causing immediate discomfort, they are simply unusable.
