I like it. I really do!
So I'm no expert when it comes to binoculars - I've never owned a pair before but i thought it was about time I had something to help me see the things I'm missing when I go to a concert or whatever.I ended up buying two different sets for different uses. (The Polaris Optics RuggedEagle 8X32 Compact Birding Binoculars. Pocket-Size, Waterproof and Ultra-Lightweight for the Go-Anywhere Traveler. Experience Wood and Stream With Breathtaking Clarity I intend for outdoor/boat use for when I go diving and just want to check out the scenery and creatures around the boat). What I was looking for didn't have to be waterproof. I wanted it to be small enough to fit into a pocket or a purse/evening bag (I go to the symphony often). I also didn't want something that was bright and obnoxious in color. As far as technical specs, I tried to read up on all the advice I could stomach and just clicked add to cart on this one. For 16.99 (with prime shipping) how much time am I supposed to invest in researching this thing?Well it arrived and instead of getting something that felt like thin, cheap plastic, I was nicely surprised! It had a decent solid feel and I ended up taking it on a weekend trip and putting it to a bit of use at a concert. I was able to see the lack of sweat coming from the featured violinist on stage as he worked through his piece. And I could also watch the changing expressions on a cellist a little further away which was pretty amusing. (Great concert by the Julliard School, really!)The pair I got seems durable enough. Again, I really don't plan on throwing this around much though we shall see since I've got issues with the care of feeding of things I should take better care of.As far as size goes, it does fit fine in a small handbag but it's not going to leave much room for more if you're talking about a slim hand clutch designed to fit a thin phone, lipstick and money and air in between.I haven't tried using the strap yet. I read somewhere about how it's attached but since I didn't try that out I can't say if it's a problem or not yet. Thanks for reading me!

Nice and compact!
I love to attend concerts and sometimes have trouble seeing or want to see much closer than my eyes will allow for. I purchased tickets for a play recently that I really want to see detail of the scenes and sets so I bought this set as I did not want something that was bulky to carry around that I could easily just slip into my purse to be able to use during the show. This is the perfect set for that purpose. They come with a small carrying case with a velcro closure that makes it super easy to pop in my purse. The case with the binoculars inside it are about the length of a smartphone and about 3 inches deep. It comes with a strand and a cleaning cloth for your lens. The vision quality when you use this set is excellent. I tested them out by looking at a pair of cardinals that live in my tree in my back yard. They gave me a gorgeous view of the birds and the ability to see the detail in their vivid red color and their beak and eyes. They have one adjustment wheel in the middle to refine your vision and the smaller adjustments to further refine the vision in each eye. I know I will be using these a lot as I have many upcoming plays and concerts that I plan to attend. These would also be perfect for sporting events as well as bird watching as well. For my self they are perfect and again I love that they are compact and easy to pop into a bag or purse.

good travel binoculars and budget friendly
i got these in the mail a week ago (i think i bought these 3 dollars above what they are selling for now) - i bought these because of the good reviews - i think it may have been "amazon's choice" as well. well if truth be known i bought these cuz they fit the budget - of spending on a pair of binos (i already have 2 pairs 12x50 (nikon aculon), 7x35 (pentax 20+ years old metal body)) and now i own a mertys.the mertys is 10 x 25 - the first number is magnification - the higher the number the greater the magnification. the 2nd number is how big lens are in the front - the bigger the number the more light it lets in and the bigger the field of vision - the field of vision is also dependent on the magnification. in this case 10x25 - the magnification is high but relatively small compared to the magnification so it will prob give you a narrower field as compared to the 7x35.the item arrived within a box which contained instructions, a soft pouch carrying case, and a sturdy neck strap which have quick releases - that is clips that quickly releases with a squeeze of the thumb and index finger).the binos feel sturdy with good weight. rubber, metal and plastic. it didn't feel cheap but also not quite a nikon. there's a focus wheel in the center which moves the lens inside of the tubes. nothing moves up or down externally. on the right tube there is the diopter (it is not a zoom as some reviewers have state on a video site) most peoples eyes are not the same on both - you can refine the focus further for the right eye. i think i found myself setting the focus with the main focus wheel according to my left eye and refine the focus using the diopter for my right eye.i looked through them during the day time for a few min - not sure if it's me or if the set is faulty - i can see the floaters inside my eye. i think it's cuz the lenses are reflecting my own eyeball back at me. but only if it is bright daytime out .. otherwise i do not see the inside of my eye ball.i bought these small binos with the intention of taking it to the met opera - which i did - i saw Les Contes d'Hoffmann - or the tales of hoffmann. they came in handy and performed well under opera conditions - a few of the ladies in act 3 were scantily clad - the orchestra and vocals were spot on. i was in the upper upper family circle deck at the metopera. overall i am satisfied and would bring these on trips because of the size and weight. I'm not sure what makes them HD - but these were pretty clear. i could have used these when i went to the utah national parks.i think for a highly portable budget minded person (or about 15 dollars) these are solid performers - although maybe a pair of Zeiss binos should blow these out of the water but the difference in price is astounding.

Don't drop these guys :-(
Initially they were very good, i had great fun looking out my window at the far buildings, and seeing the leaves on my neighborhood trees up close. however i must have dropped them and now they are out of collimation and have double vision. that is very annoying. what is more annoying is that i have no idea where the lens adjustment screws are placed under the rubber, and so cannot collimate them myself. because they are so cheap im thinking of just cutting the rubber off and figuring it out, but that really shouldn't be something i have to do. sucks
