If I had any complaints about this product it would be the instructions but they are still easy to understand Thanks
My dog chewed up my last pool testing kit and I was furious because I knew how expensive these testing kits can be. After a little searching I found this kit and decided to purchase it. This kit is very affordable and effective. If I had any complaints about this product it would be the instructions but they are still easy to understandThanks,Flag this as helpful if it helped you =)Happy holidays!

Chlorine comparison swatches have no variation in color
I bought this just to keep general tabs on the small 8 foot pool for the kids. Mostly to make sure I don’t over chlorinate. As a certified pool operator, and a former aquatics center manager, I can say I am very disappointed. The drops work, the test bikes are fine, but the chlorine indicator has little to no discernible difference in shades. I tested our tap water, it showed a level of 1-5ppm because all the yellow is the same! So it’s pretty useless. I e even used a white paper background, I’ve looked at it with lights, outside, led, etc. I would not purchase this kit again

there are several unnecessary shortcomings to the design. Better kits are available
The kit was inexpensive, and seems to do the basic job of measuring pH and free chlorine. However, there are several unnecessary shortcomings to the design. First, the caps for the sample tubes do not fit tightly, meaning you can't invert them to mix the contents without spilling. Second, the sample tubes are round, not square in cross section. While this seems a niggling detail, it does make comparing the color of the solution to the reference colors much more difficult than it would be otherwise. The Pool chemical test kit HTH kit has square tubes so the color is uniform and easily compared to the references. That kit costs more but contains about 50% more of the test solutions and is much, much easier to read than the Jed Pool kit. I recently compared the two kits with water from my pool. The pH reference colors on the Jed Pool kit were clearly off. When the pH was 7.2 (in my pool), the color I obtained with the Jed Pool kit did not match any of the reference colors provided. The HTH kit gave the same color for pH, but this color nicely matched a reference color on the HTH kit. Pool chemical test kit

Easy to use
My wife and I are pretty new to pool maintenance, and we found this test kit to be very easy to use. Great for the price, it seems to come with enough test solution to last a long time.Edit: The first pool season is over, and we still have test solution left over. We have been using a bi weekly anti algae chemical, and shock n swim weekly, and the pool has stayed pretty balanced =D

Not that great
I decided to buy this kit because my other kit was running out of chemicals. I figured I would just buy a whole new kit. Mistake! First of all, the lids for each testing compartment don't really fit. You have to hold it down when you're mixing. Also, the color guide for the chlorine side, every color looks the same. All the yellow guides are the exact same color. The pH side is slightly better. I'm going to throw away the mixer and just keep the chemicals. This kit is four drops per side and the one I have is five drops. I'm hoping I can use the chemicals in my old mixer. Do yourself a favor and order a more expensive and higher rated kit. It will be worth it.
