A great artistic toy
My daughter loves this doodling board. Unlike others that are black and white, this one has fun colors. It's easy to use and comes with a stylus and shapes. I love that she can draw and draw and not waste paper. Plus, it's so nice to get them off of the electronic screens! Would definitely buy again.

Big blue board
The media could not be loaded. The quality for this magic board is good for my baby. My baby loves it. It loves the color that Tex good quality, good fun for the kids easy to erase writing ability. It helps them to use their fingers great value for your money. True to size.

Broke
It was awesome. Magnets are a cool function though they get lost easily. The pen broke leaving the magnet part too easy to come off so unfortunately I had to scrap it. But if the same happens to you feel free to cut the pen off and just use the magnets provided.

These are fine for the casual user, but too cheap for a magna-doodle addict.
One of my kids (almost 6) LOVES this thing and uses it non-stop, drawing pictures, writing math problems, practicing his writing, taking it everywhere with him. He's not particularly rough with it, but he is five, so he does occasionally drop it or drop things on it. His board was broken within a three months (e.g., the mechanism of the eraser stopped working well, his drawings started looking overly fuzzy b/c something weird was happening with the magnetic grains inside the board, and then the pen broke).MY other son (3) likes his board but uses it a lot less frequently, maybe once a day for a few minutes. His board remained in pretty good shape after a few months, though within five months the eraser stopped working very well.We got a second set of these (my husband bought a second set, though reading others' reviews, I wish we'd just talked to the manufacturer for replacements) and are observing the same process: older son's frequent use is wearing this board down quickly, and younger son's board is still in ok shape. In short, I think it's a decent gift for a kid who you think will be a casual user, but for a kid who will use it all darn day, you probably need to invest in one of higher quality or just be prepared to need to replace it. I should also note that this size is a bit unwieldy for traveling.
