Worth your money
Good quality curtain rod. It looks great and is able to hold heavy blackout curtains. Would definitely buy again.

Not spring loaded. Does not hold tightly or safely by twisting rods to lock it in place.
I purchased this curtain rod to install inside the frame of a 67 inch wide custom window. The overall length of the rod we bought was the right size to fit the window. The two curtains we attached are light and very sheer (not blackout) so weight was not the issue. Before attaching the curtains we tried installing the curtain rod first. The twist and fit way to lock the rod into place was not a strong hold. There is no tension mechanism built into this curtain rod to tightly and securely hold the rod in place. The instructions read as follows... Sizing rod to your window: 1) With finials mounted on the rod, place inside window casing and extend out until the finial pads contact each side of the inside window casing. 2) Grip both the inner and outer rod, then turn the rod in your right hand towards you to tighten. When tightening rod will expand slightly. We found this turn to tighten design to be AN INEFFECTIVE WAY TO CREATE ENOUGH TENSION FOR A STRONG HOLD ON A LARGE WINDOW. Basically you are trying to turn it as tight as you can but this method does not create enough pressure, and, it is not that easy to turn the rod with a lot of strength since the rod is positioned very close to the window as you try to turn it into place. We purchased another brand from the hardware store that has a built-in spring that creates enough tension simply by placing one finial onto one corner of the window casing, then I squeezed the expandable end far enough to push it into the opposite corner of the window casing for a very tight fit as it sprung into place. Maybe the curtain rod I bought from Kenney is safer to use if you are just installing a light weight valance on a not so wide window; it did not work for our needs. I returned the Kenney twist and fit rod through Amazon.

Simple and effective
I bought this for room-darkening curtains in a 45-inch window. It was simple to install and is working as needed. It is strong enough to support heavy curtains.

Take your time
Ok. I see so many bad reviews and I don’t get it. No this is not a spring tension rod. That means when you measure your length to twist the rod FO IT AT AN ANGLE so it’s almost too long to fit. Put your curtains on first! Once you twist and lick it then gently push the one side that’s down up into place level with the other side. It’s not meant to hold heavy curtains or drapes. This is for sheers imo. Take the time to read the instructions. Take the end caps off to find your extra length! It’s in there!!!
