KJV Holy Bible, My Creative Bible, Faux Leather Hardcover - Ribbon Marker, King James Version, Teal w/Elastic Closure (KJV Creative Editions) Hardcover – April 12, 2016

The KJV “My Creative Bible” is not a Study Bible , but it has lovely pictures and verses to color and memorize. I love it. The KJV will be difficult to understand for new Christian’s. I would suggest having a ESV , NIV Study Bible or NLT Study Bible near you…which is much easier to understand. Please look at my photos. If you use markers, it will show through on the back of the page. I glues white paper on the other side of the paper ,to cover it up ..or you can use washi tape.

I’ve wanted a creative bible for YEARS, I found this one on sale and couldn’t believe it was finally within my budget so I jumped on the deal right then and there, the downside was the shipping, I waited for two week and literally counted down the days, when it finally came it was wrapped safely and packaged nicely and I love the color so much more in person.The only other downside is that as is usually typical with bibles the pages are kinda thin which I kind of expected, by the way helpful hint I learned from a friend, always keep a piece of card stock/cardboard tucked in your bible so you can place it under whatever sheet you’re working on at the time so you don’t risk bleeding through or making indentations on the next page!Anyways, it has lots of space for note taking and so many beautiful coloring pages, I sometimes get lost working on this bible for hours at a time, if you’re looking for a more involved version of the bible (with a hint of feminine flair) I highly recommend this one!

The cover color is as depicted, nice and bright. The lettering is etched rather than stamped, even on the outer spine (as pictured). Perfect! It has one ribbon page marker of similar color. It has a pretty design when covers closed, a floral print in complementary colors. Beautiful and sturdy cover.They enclosed a nice book mark with tasteful advertising with “Five Questions to ask when you read the Bible” to help get you started with notes. The Bible came nicely wrapped in a fairly sturdy plastic wrap. The print is maybe 10 or 11, not quite sure but a very readable print.I crossed my fingers and bought several of them, the others are as gifts so remain unopened. I’m glad I did!The pages are of reasonable thickness for a Bible, some pages stick which is common for newly purchased Bibles in general. Just be aware and carefully separate them.The drawings have a hand drawn like appearance, which is charming. Some of the lined notation pages you can see the drawings from the next page, while others you can’t. Transparency wise you need about 3 pages between an artist drawing to not see outlines of it. I haven’t actually colored or written in it, but hopefully that gives you an idea. I would be inclined to use pencil and/or color pencil, some of you may know of other options that may work fairly well. Even though I think pen and ink may not be desirable, I’m super pleased with this Bible. It’s beautiful!I intend on buying more of them.

Excellent Quality

I love the illustrations in this Bible because they're simple enough to color without a bunch of busy "artwork" within the elements. Many Bibles with illustrations have complicated drawings with a lot of lines to presumably make it look more realistic, but really it just clutters up the illustration. These illustrations are straight-forward and look nice when I color them with my Faber-Castell markers (which don't bleed to the back of the page).

I chose this color because it was the least expensive option truthfully. I wanted a 'creative bible' but wasn't willing to break the bank for it. Two things I noticed, that I wished it was a bit bigger in size so that the pictures to color would be a bit bigger and most importantly that the font size could be increased. I will be able to use this using my 'readers' glasses but wished a 'large print' larger sized version would be made someday. It is a beautiful color though!
