These are the most inexpensive cross ties we could find, yet the quality is very very good. I was pleasantly surprised about Matt. They are sturdy well-made and look very elegant. I quit six crosstie areas with these and was so happy with the compliments I got. As a stable owner it was a great investment to provide our clients with quality cross ties at an inexpensive price. Unfortunately we've had a couple of horses bust out of these cross ties. And they held up and did NOT do the job of releasing the horse. I recommend put these up with bailing twine between the tie and the eye hook so the bailing twine breaks.On one such instance a very nasty person decided it would be funny to shoot a 1200 pound horse in the backside with a high-powered BB gun. The horse went up in the air, the cross ties broke my eye hooks and released the horse and although he fell to the ground thankfully he did not hurt himself or break his neck! Which is exactly what I wanted to do to the person!Most people know that using cross ties can be very dangerous. The most important thing when selecting your cross ties is to know that they will release under pressure so that the horse will not get hurt. These have done a remarkable job of NOT releasing. I think most cross ties use the same metal release products. They all need to solve this problem.In the second instance, someone delivered a horse and wanted to unload six other horses in order to clean his trailer out from a long haul. One of his horses was exceptionally feisty and bust out of the cross ties a couple of times. Again I was very frustrated with this product because the horse was only able to get released by busting my eye hooks again thankfully without hurting himself.Today another horse got spooked by a falling limb and broke the actual nylon tie! This time she twisted her leg. So ramping up the eye hooks caused a bigger problem. Now I'm using bailing twine!!I recommend this product based on the price, the exceptional quality but the functionality of releasing is not there. Use with bailing twine ONLY. MOST CRISS TIES WILL BE THE EXACT SAME THING UNLESS THEIR RELEASE ENDS ARE FROM DIFFERENT MANUFACTURERS.

These are good crossties. Buyer beware -showing two but price is for one only so know that before purchasing so your not left short

PAY ATTENTION - Buried halfway down in the page in the middle of a paragraph is bought as each...Not very transparent. It should be a picture of just ONE not showing two straps folded different ways. And it should be clear in the language only ONE strap included but they use some cryptic language "bought as each". No one talks like that. I had to go look for where it said it after it arrived as just one. You can find the same quality as a set for $5 more.

Very sturdy and heavy duty product. However the picture and description is misleading. This is not a crosstie set (you need 2 to make a crosstie) as there is only one that comes in the package. Would not have paid this price if I would have known it was only one.

these work great and the price was right

Ordered one of these to use as a pull tie for my harnessed dog to pull me on my adult tricycle. I wanted the breakaway panic snap in case I need to disconnect him from the trike in an emergency. This is one strong tie. The nylon is very strong and the snaps are very heavy duty. As others have mentioned, you get only ONE tie. To get a pair you have to buy two. This is mentioned now in the description.

These seemed like a great deal but a snap broke upon first use.I do like them and they are a good design.Unfortunately the hardware on mine was garbage.
